This is made possible by the classification of the BKA (file number SO13-2022-36166803), under which the knife is not considered a weapon according to §1 Abs. 2b due to its small blade dimensions. According to the BKA's classification, the Böker Plus Micro USB OTF is covered by §42a of the Weapons Act and thus subject to the usual carrying restrictions for one-handed knives. Böker machts möglich und präsentiert mit dem Böker Plus Micro USB OTF ein in Deutschlandgesetzeskonformes OTF-Automatikmesser (Out of The Front) mit einer 41 mm langen Gebrauchsklinge. Möglich macht dies die Einstufung des BKA (Aktenzeichen SO13-2022-36166803), unter welcher das Messer aufgrund seiner geringen Klingenabmessungen nicht als Waffe nach §1 Abs. 2b gilt.
