The ZH “Zoom” device series is the first thermal imaging device to use optical image magnification in thermal imaging handheld devices. The advantage lies in the better image quality when magnifying the image compared to digital image magnification, as used by competing devices.

With the new “Zoom” product series, Iray introduces a completely new product line. The housings of the ZH50 and its smaller sister device are entirely new developments and can therefore also boast a long-awaited feature – an interchangeable battery system.
After Iray already introduced a device with an interchangeable battery in the mid-range segment in 2021, the high-end segment is now also equipped with this feature. The housing of the ZH50 features a proprietary interchangeable battery solution that allows for quick and easy battery replacement in the field.
The Zoom comes with all the standard features of the high-end segment. The device is of course equipped with a WiFi module and app support via mobile devices. Additionally, it features various color palettes, a picture-in-picture function, and manual focus. More information on the equipment and software details of the device will follow shortly.

Iray enters the high-end market with the ZH50 Zoom. The device features the latest detector from the company, which operates in the 12µm pixel range and is based on vanadium oxide technology. The sensitivity of the detector captures temperature differences starting from ≤ 25 mk (NETD) and is therefore significantly more sensitive than competitors' detectors, which often only detect temperature differences starting at ≤ 35 mk (NETD).
The Zoom comes with all the standard features of the high-end class. The device is, of course, equipped with a WiFi module and app support via mobile devices. Additionally, it includes 5 color palettes, a picture-in-picture function, and manual focus. Furthermore, the device features an altimeter, a digital compass, and a gravity sensor. The ZH38 also has a microphone and can thus record audio for video recordings.

Weiterhin kommt es mit 5 Farbpaletten, einer Bild-in-Bild-Funktion sowie manuellem Fokus daher. Weiterhin verfügt das Gerät über einen Höhenmesser, einen digitaler Kompass sowie einen Schwerkraftsensor. Das ZH38 besitzt außerdem ein Mikrofon und kann somit auch den Ton zu den Video-Aufnahmen aufzeichnen.
