The PUMA "saubart" offers the user many advantages through the following features: The blade material is stainless Sandvik steel 14C28N, which achieves a Rockwell hardness of 60-62 HRC, giving the knife a high edge retention. The new blade shape, previously tested by hunters, allows for the use of the entire cutting surface. Additionally, the spine of the blade is equipped with a ground bevel. Das Modell „saubart“ ist ein handliches und kurzes, dabei sehr kräftiges Messer in Vollerlbauweise für den universellen Einsatz - von PUMA Solingen. Das PUMA „saubart“ bietet dem Nutzer durch folgende Eigenschaften viele Vorteile: Als Klingenmaterial kommt rostfreier Sandvik-Stahl 14C28N zum Einsatz, der es auf eine Rockwellhärte von 60-62 HRC bringt, wodurch das Messer eine hohe Schnitthaltigkeit erhält. Die zuvor von Jägern getestete neue Klingenform ermöglicht den Einsatz der kompletten Schnittfläche. Außerdem ist der Klingenrücken mit einer angeschliffenen Phase versehen.
