If you decide to request an offer for your weapon through our purchase service, the process is simple and transparent.
Input of Data
In most cases, we only need a few pictures of your weapon and a brief description from you. If you have more information, such as a WBK (Weapon Ownership Card), we are happy to take that as well.
You Receive an Offer
Usually, our experts need 24 hours to make an offer. As soon as this is done, we will inform you immediately via email.
You can track the status of your immediate sale at any time in your Gunfinder profile. We will also keep you updated via email on every single step and any changes, so you are always up to date.
You Accept the Offer
If you are satisfied with our offer, you can accept it directly in your Gunfinder profile. In this case, we will ask you for 3 details:
- The address for picking up the weapon
- A date when we should come by
- Your IBAN for the transfer
After you have provided us with this information, we will get to work: We will commission a courier specialized in weapons who will come by on the date you selected between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM to pick up the weapon.
Additionally, we will place a PDF order confirmation from the courier in your profile. This contains exact information such as what, when, and where will be picked up. You can print it out and have the courier sign it upon pickup. This way, you can document the proper process to authorities after the pickup, for example.
In order for us to correctly assign the weapon, we also need the master data sheet of your weapon from you. If you do not have it on hand, a short phone call or a brief email to your responsible authority is usually sufficient. Typically, the authority will send you the master data sheet by email on the same day. You can find out more about the master data sheet here.
You can conveniently upload the master data sheet in your profile.
The Weapon Reaches Us
As soon as the weapon arrives at our location, it will be checked by our experts. If everything is in order, we will transfer the agreed amount to you on the same day.
If there is a problem, we will also contact you immediately via email and, in the worst case, send the weapon back to you. However, this has only happened once in the entire history of the company.
We Handle the Official Procedures
Following the transfer, we will go to the authority with all the data and have the weapon transferred to us. After that, we will immediately send you the official transfer declaration in PDF format.
Have the Weapon Deregistered
Finally, it is very important that you take the transfer declaration and your weapon ownership card to your responsible authority and have the weapon deregistered there. You can usually also do this by mail.
That's it! If you have any further questions, feel free to contact us at any time. We are happy to help!
