Smith carbine in caliber .50, manufactured in Italy by F. LLI PIETTA. The weapon is in very good condition (see pictures).
The stock and forearm are made of satin-finished European walnut. The stock is finished with the original blued finish. Color-hardened lock and hammer (case-hardened).
The barrel is 21 1/2 inches long, partly round, partly octagonal with military front sight and rear sight in folding sight style. The action is released by a push button in the blued steel trigger guard. The barrel has 3 grooves and lands with a twist of 1 turn in 66 inches and a land width of .007".

Hinterschaft und Vorderschaft sind aus satiniertem europäischem Nussbaumholz. Der Schaft ist mit der originalen gebläuten Brünierung versehen. Farblich gehärtetes Schloss und Hammer (bunt brüniert).
Der Lauf ist 21 1/2 Zoll lang, teils rund, teils achteckig mit Militärkorn und Kimme im Klappkorn-Stil. Der Verschluss wird durch einen Druckknopf im gebläuten Stahlabzugsbügel gelöst. Der Lauf ist mit 3 Feldern und Zügen mit einem Drall von 1 Umdrehung in 66 Zoll und einer Zugweite von .007" gezogen.
