The designation HSr stands in the old tradition for "Hammer-Action Rimfire Pistol." Constructively, the developers of this pistol have taken new paths and utilized the basic design of the world-renowned SIG® P232. From this model, the designers adopted the decocking lever function as well as the disassembly function to separate the slide from the frame. The manual side safety lever then again shows a familiar Mauser HSc design element. The associated firing pin safety and drop safety meet the current requirements of modern pistol design. Due to its slim design, the Mauser HSr is particularly suitable for all types of concealed carry.
