The Army Universal Rifle, also known as the AUG, was developed in 1970 by STEYR for the Austrian Armed Forces. At that time, it was the most modern weapon on the market, distinguished by its bullpup design and quick barrel change.
The STEYR AUG A3 SA (semi-automatic) is the civilian version of the world-famous STEYR AUG. It is a semi-automatic gas-operated rifle with a fixed locking mechanism, QC barrel, and a Picatinny rail (Mil. Std. 1913) for the quick mounting of various optics. The cold-hammered and hard-chromed barrel guarantees excellent shooting performance.
