Der KK-Revolver hat den mittelgroßen K-Rahmen, der ursprünglich für die .38 S&W Special-Patrone entwickelt wurde. Die Einführung dieses Rahmens, der zur damaligen Zeit für Militär- und Behördenwaffen zum Einsatz kam, geht zurück bis ins Jahr 1899.
