The new Merkel K5 break-action rifle: slimmer, more agile, and according to Merkel, a tad more beautiful than its predecessors K3 and K4. Hunting version with hand-engraved animal motifs. The Merkel K5 is trimmed for dynamic elegance while being 100 percent functional. The newly defined line of the rifle stretches from the stock with its lightweight pig back over the extended fore-end made of fine rosewood to the 17 mm thick barrel like a big cat in mid-leap. Brilliant technology in a new look-and-feel: the tipping block is extremely short and locks steel on steel in typical Merkel fashion. Technical finesse, a new line of stock, system, and barrel, as well as refined functionality: in total, a rifle with only 2.3 kilograms net weight and in all conceivable dimensions. The removable tipping block lock is the heart of the K5: it locks steel on steel, is extremely lightweight, short, and secure. The titanium-nitrided locking block is removable, making the weapon quickly and easily non-firing. The locking system with a removable hunter tipping block lock features a separate manual safety. The new manual safety operates completely silently and is even easier to use - almost no force is required in the finger. The revised trigger system is length and side adjustable. With a trigger weight of only 600 g and a wider trigger blade, the Merkel K5 can be easily operated with any finger and hand shape. The pistol grip, fore-end, and patent catch are elegantly finished with ebony. The stock of wood class 4 features removable sling mounts and a Bavarian cheek piece with double fold. The barrels with a diameter of 17 mm are equipped with the universal sighting i-Sight system with covered M15x1 muzzle thread. With a single internal hex screw, the rear sight and front sight can be disassembled, and the front sight can also be repositioned depending on whether shooting with a silencer, without sights, or with a muzzle brake is intended. The sling mounts are equipped with the new Merkel Speedster system and are therefore also removable.

Die neue Kipplaufbüchse Merkel K5: Schlanker, führiger und laut eigener Aussage von Merkel den Ticken schöner als ihre Vorgängerinnen K3 und K4. Ausführung Jagd mit handgestochener Tierstückgravur. Die Merkel K5 ist auf dynamische Eleganz getrimmt – und doch 100-prozentig funktionell. Die neu definierte Linie der Büchse spannt sich vom Hinterschaft mit seinem leichten Schweinsrücken über den mit feinem Palisanderholz verlängerten Vorderschaft bis zum 17 mm starken Lauf wie eine Raubkatze im Sprung. Geniale Technik in neuem Look-and-feel: Der Kippblock baut extrem kurz und verriegelt Merkeltypisch Stahl auf Stahl. Technische Raffinesse, neue Linie aus Schaft, System und Lauf sowie verfeinerte Funktionalität: In Summe ein Gewehr mit nur 2,3 Kilogramm Nettogewicht und in allerführigsten Dimensionen. Der herausnehmbare Kippblockverschluss ist das Herz der K5: Er verriegelt Stahl auf Stahl, baut extrem leicht, kurz und ist sicher. Der titannitrierte Verschlussblock ist herausnehmbar, die Waffe somit schnell und einfach nicht mehr schussfähig. Das Einschloss-System mit herausnehmbarem Jäger-Kippblock-Verschluss verfügt über eine separate Handspannung. Die neue Handspannung arbeitet völlig geräuschlos und ist noch einfacher zu bedienen - es wird beinahe keinerlei Kraft mehr im Finger benötigt. Das überarbeitete Abzugssystem ist längen- und seitenverstellbar. Mit einem Abzugsgewicht von nur 600 g und einem breiteren Züngel lässt die Merkel K5 sich mit jedem Finger und jeder Handform gut bedienen. Pistolengriff, Vorderschaft und Patentschnäpper sind edel mit Ebenholz abgeschlossen. Der Hinterschaft der Schaftholzklasse 4 gestaltet sich mit abnehmbaren Riemenbügeln und mit bayerischer Backe und Doppelfalz. Die Läufe im Durchmesser 17 mm verfügen über die Universalvisierung i-Sight-System mit abgedecktem M15x1 Mündungsgewinde. Mit einer einzelnen Innensechskant-Schraube lassen sich Kimme und Korn demontieren, das Korn auch rückversetzen – je nachdem ob mit Schalldämpfer, ohne Visierung oder mit Mündungsbremse geschossen werden soll. Die Riemenbügel sind mit dem neuen System der Merkel Speedster ausgestattet und somit ebenfalls abnehmbar.
