Der Mufflon ist ein Wildschaf, das in Anatolien, Zentralasien, in der Mongolei aber auch in Europa auf Sardinien und Korsika anzutreffen ist. Seit Anfang des 19. Jh. lebt es auch in Mittel- und Nordeuropa, wo besonders die Hörner der Widder eine beliebte Jagdtrophäe sind. Das Mufflon-Schaf verfügt über einen ausgeprägten Seh-, Hör- und Geruchssinn, passt sich Natur und klimatischen Bedingungen bestens an und erfordert daher Ausdauer von jedem, der es jagen möchte. Die Fähigkeiten dieses Tieres inspirierten uns bei Deerhunter dazu, von der Natur zu lernen, um uns noch besser in ihr bewegen zu können.
