Reproduction of a high medieval one-handed sword with a typical disc pommel, which has a stepped edge in tear shape. This type of sword was already used by the Normans and soon found its use in the Crusades to liberate the Holy Land.
The broad blade made of EN45 spring steel features a pronounced fuller, which gives the sword great elasticity and at the same time lightness. The edges are not sharpened and the tip is rounded. The curved crossguard and the pommel are made of steel.
The grip of the sword is wrapped with leather cord. The sword comes with a very nice wooden leather sheath with a leather strap for attaching the sheath to the belt.
This is the regular version of this Viking sword. The same sword is also available in a combat-ready version with a blunt, thick blade and rounded tip: Item no. 0180001906.

Ich verkaufe dieses Schwert mit leichten Gebrauchsspuren. Neupreis ca. 150€
Nachbildung eines hochmittelalterlichen Einhänders mit typischem Scheibenknauf, welcher einen abgesetzten Rand in Tränenform besitzt. Diese Art Schwerter wurde bereits von den Normannen verwendet und fand kurz darauf ihren Einsatz bei den Kreuzzügen zur Befreiung des Heiligen Landes.
Die breite Klinge aus EN45 Federstahl verfügt über eine ausgeprägte Hohlkehle, welche dem Schwert große Elastizität und zugleich Leichtigkeit verleiht. Die Schneiden sind nicht geschärft und die Spitze ist abgerundet. Die gebogene Parierstange sowie der Knauf bestehen aus Stahl.
Der Griff des Schwertes ist mit Lederschnur umwickelt. Das Schwert kommt mit einer sehr schönen Holz-Lederscheide mit einem Lederriemen zum Befestigen der Scheide am Gürtel.
Dies ist die reguläre Ausführung dieses Wikingerschwertes. Das gleiche Schwert ist auch in einer schaukampftauglichen Version mit stumpfer, dicker Klinge und gerundeter Spitze erhältlich: Artikelnr. 0180001906.
