Walther PPQ M2 Blank-Firing Pistol 9mm P.A.K. The Walther PPQ is not a completely new development, but rather an evolution of the successful P99. The abbreviation PPQ stands for Police-Pistol-Quick-Defense and indicates the weapon's orientation towards police special units as a backup weapon. This is also reflected in the caliber selection. The pistol is available in NATO standard 9x19mm (9mm Para) as well as the .40 S&W caliber, which is important for the US market. To be able to react quickly in emergency situations, the PPQ is always ready to fire once cocked. There is no manual safety or decocking button. Safety is provided by the trigger's middle safety lever, which is already known from Glock. This allows the shot only when the finger is on the trigger. The most important change here is the side magazine release button, which can no longer be accidentally activated. But back to the beginning. As expected, there was a black plastic pistol case in front of us. Included were the obligatory firing cup, cleaning brush, and instructions. But since our test primarily concerns the weapon, we will focus only on that. As with the P22Q, the slide is kept in matte black and the grip is equipped with the new Hi Grip® surface. The workmanship is exemplary once again. We could not find any scratches or other traces on the PPQ either. The original markings are also present. As with the Heckler & Koch P30, the slide catch lever on the right side of the Walther PPQ M2 is only indicated and not functional. However, this does not limit the function or appearance of the blank-firing pistol. Since we had no other complaints, this point should at least be mentioned. The pistol sits very well in the hand overall, and all controls are easily accessible. Walther PPQ M2 Schreckschusspistole 9mm P.A.K.Die Walther PPQ ist keine reine Neuentwicklung, sondern vielmehr eine Weiterentwicklung der erfolgreichen P99. Die Abkürzung PPQ steht für Police-Pistol-Quick-Defense und zeigt die Ausrichtung der Waffe auf Spezialeinheiten der Polizei als Backup-Waffe. Dies zeigt sich auch an der Kaliberauswahl. So ist die Pistole sowohl im Nato Standard 9x19mm (9mm Para)sowie dem für den US-Markt wichtigen Kaliber .40 S&W zu haben. Um in Notfallsituation schnell reagieren zu können, ist die PPQ einmal gespannt immer feuerbereit. Eine manuelle Sicherung sowie eine Entspanntaste gibt es nicht. Sicherheit bietet das bereits von der Glock bekannte Mittelzüngel am Abzug. Dieses gibt den Schuss nur bei aufgelegtem Finger frei. Eine weitere Neuerung stellt das Polymergriffstück mit der patentierten Hi Grip® Oberfläche dar.Wie schon bei der Walther P99 ist auch bei der PPQ der Hahn innenliegend und so vor Beschädigungen geschützt. Durch den dauergespannten Zustand besitzt sie Walther einen Single Action Only Abzug. Dieser hat den entscheidenden Vorteil, dass der Abzugsweg bei konstanten 9mm liegt und auch das Abzugsgewicht immer gleich ist. Wie bei Walther Pistolen üblich, übernimmt die Firma Umarex die Lizenzproduktion der Gaspistole. Die ist mit ihrem Vorbild weitestgehend baugleich und verfügt über denselben Abzug. Abweichend hiervon ist lediglich das verwendete Kaliber. In der Schreckschusspistole kommen Patronen im Kaliber 9mm P.A.K zum Einsatz, von welchen 15 Stück in das Stangenmagazin passen. Wie soll es auch anders sein, lag ein schwarzer Pistolenkoffer aus Kunststoff vor uns. Mit dabei der obligatorische Abschussbecher, die Reinigungsbürste und die Anleitung. Aber da es in unserem Test vorrangig um die Waffe geht, soll uns auch nur diese interessieren. Wie schon bei der P22Q wurde der Schlitten in mattem schwarz gehalten und das Griffstück mit der neuen Hi Grip® Oberfläche versehen. Die Verarbeitung ist hier wieder einmal vorbildlich. Auch bei der PPQ konnten wir keine Kratzer oder andere Spuren entdecken. Auch die originalen Markings sind vorhanden. Wie schon bei der Heckler & Koch P30 ist auch bei der Walther PPQ M2 der Schlittenfanghebel auf der rechten Seite nur angedeutet und nicht funktionstüchtig.Dies schränkt aber weder Funktion noch Optik der Gaspistole ein. Da wir aber ansonsten nichts zu beanstanden hatten, sollte dieser Punkt wenigstens genannt werden. Die Pistole liegt insgesamt sehr gut in der Hand und alle Bedienelemente lassen sich gut erreichen. Der Abzug hat eine sehr angenehme Charakteristik auch wenn das für eine Schreckschuss-Pistole kein wichtiger Punkt ist. Da die Feder verändert wurde ist nun auch der Schlitten gefühlt ein wenig leichtgängiger. Abschließend konnten wir im Munitionstest keine Störungen feststellen. Der Schalldämpfer senkt das Schussgeräusch deutlich spürbar. Man sollte nur beachten, dass der Verschleiß durch den höheren Gegendruck erhöht wird.Wir sehen die Weiterentwicklung als geglückt. Die Walther PPQ M2 Gas-/Signalpistole sieht gut aus, funktioniert gut und fühlt sich auch noch gut an.
