Walther PP blank firing pistol 9mm P.A.K. The Walther PP (Polizei-Pistole) was brought to market in 1929 in caliber 7.65 mm Browning. It was the first handgun with a fully functional and high-quality Double Action trigger. Thus, it was immediately used by German police authorities as well as an officer's weapon in the military. Engraved versions were also popular diplomatic gifts. In 1932, the even more compact PPK (Polizei-Pistole-Kriminal) was developed, which was then used according to its name. After World War II, Walther developed additional sport versions with extended barrels in caliber .22lfB. It was not until 1972 (Bavaria 1982) that the PP and PPK were phased out by the police due to the acquisition of weapons in the stronger caliber 9mm Para. Nevertheless, the Walther PP with all its variants was a success across the board. Prices for functional models are rising. Today, a factory-engraved version in good condition costs more than a brand new polymer service pistol. The license for the production of the blank firing pistol was granted to the company Umarex. As with the original, a Double Action trigger is used. The steel sheet magazine holds 7 cartridges in caliber 9mm P.A.K. A manual firing pin safety is also present. Our assessment: Even though one is aware of Umarex's attention to detail, one is positively surprised with each new weapon. The implementation of the Walther PP has once again been perfectly achieved. As simple as the packaging made of black plastic is, the pistol is all the more convincing. Of course, we also want to mention the included accessories. As usual, there is a manual, a launch cup, and a barrel cleaning brush included. The actual signal pistol is very well made, and the bluing shows no damage. Collectors will be pleased with the authentic Walther markings. The weight also corresponds almost exactly to the original due to the all-metal construction. Once held, one is impressed by the handling of the small Walther. A large part of this is due to the shaped magazine base. The cocking of the blank firing pistol is also easy to handle. In the actual shooting test, we did not encounter any malfunctions or failures with any of the types of ammunition we tested. There is also a video on the internet of a stress test of over 1000 shots in a short time for this weapon. Although it shows a brief jamming of the slide at the end of the test, the weapon was still fully functional. We consider the Walther PP gas/signal pistol to be a successful implementation of the original and a genuine recommendation for collectors and interested users. Walther PP Schreckschusspistole 9mm P.A.K.Die Walther PP (Polizei-Pistole) wurde im Jahr 1929 im Kaliber 7,65 mm Browning zur Marktreife gebracht. Sie war die erste Kurzwaffe mit einem voll funktionsfähigen und hochwertigen Double Action Abzug. So fand sie auch sofort Verwendung bei den deutschen Polizeibehörden sowie als Offizierswaffe beim Militär. Zudem waren gravierte Ausführungen beliebte Diplomatengeschenke. 1932 entwickelte man die noch kompaktere PPK (Polizei-Pistole-Kriminal), welche dann entsprechend ihres Namens Verwendung fand. Nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg entwickelte Walther zusätzliche Sport-Versionen mit verlängertem Lauf im Kaliber .22lfB. Erst 1972 (Bayern 1982) wurden PP und PPK bei der Polizei wegen der Anschaffung von Waffen im stärkeren Kaliber 9mm Para ausgesondert. Trotzdem war die Walther PP mit all ihren Ablegern ein Erfolg auf der ganzen Linie. Die Preise für funktionstüchtige Modelle steigen an. So kostet heute eine werksgravierte Version in gutem Zustand mehr als eine werksneue Polymer-Dienstpistole. Für die Produktion der Gaspistole wurde die Lizenz an die Firma Umarex vergeben. Wie beim Vorbild kommt ein Double Action Abzug zum Einsatz. Das Stahlblechmagazin bietet Platz für 7 Patronen im Kaliber 9mm P.A.K. Auch eine manuelle Schlagsicherung ist vorhanden.Unsere Einschätzung:Auch wenn man um die Detailverliebtheit von Umarex weiß, ist man bei jeder neuen Waffe wieder einmal positiv überrascht. Auch die Umsetzung der Walther PP ist einmal mehr perfekt gelungen. So schlicht die Verpackung aus schwarzen Kunststoff auch ist, umso mehr überzeugt die Pistole darin. Natürlich wollen wir auch das sich im Lieferumfang befindende Zubehör nicht verschweigen. Wie üblich liegen eine Anleitung, ein Abschussbecher sowie eine Laufreinigungsbürste bei. Die eigentliche Signalpistole ist sehr sauber verarbeitet und die Brünierung weist keinerlei Beschädigungen auf. Sammler werden sich über die originalgetreuen Walther Markings freuen. Auch das Gewicht entspricht durch die Ganzmetallbauweise nahezu dem Vorbild. Einmal in die Hand genommen ist man von der Führigkeit der kleinen Walther begeistert. Großen Anteil daran hat der ausgeformte Magazinschuh. Auch das Spannen der Schreckschusspistole geht gut von der Hand. Im eigentlichen Schusstest konnten wir mit keiner der von uns geprüften Munitionssorten Störungen oder Aussetzer feststellen. Auch zu dieser Waffe existiert im Internet ein Video eines Belastungstest über 1000 Schuss in kürzester Zeit. Dieser zeigt zwar ein kurzes Verklemmen des Verschlusses zum Ende des Test, die Waffe war aber trotzdem noch voll funktionstüchtig.
