The soft ballistic vest Delta from PGD offers high protection according to NIJ Level IIIA (3A), tested to withstand the latest and most advanced threats from some of the most common handguns, up to .357 SIG FMJFN, .44 Magnum SJHP. In addition to ballistic protection, this vest also provides high cut and stab protection up to 55 Joules. It requires a lot of force to penetrate the DELTA vest (the usual standard for a bulletproof vest is 20 Joules).
This bullet-resistant vest is excellent as a base for "ICW" hard ballistic plates due to its lightweight and wearing comfort.
The Delta vest features insert pockets for hard ballistic plates measuring 10x12"! This standard size can be directly combined with the soft ballistic. Thick PE plates also fit easily into the vest.
The PGD Delta is very light at approximately 2.1 kg (size L) and the ballistic insert is only 4.9 mm thick, making it ideal for concealed carry by operational forces. The carrying system is lined with Outlast® PCM technology: this NASA-developed material helps keep the body temperature regulated and offers maximum wearing comfort, tested for up to 14 hours at a stretch!
Protection class IIIA is often compared to the German SK1, but it is superior in certain parameters - SK1 is only tested with 9mm and SK2 only with .357 Mag., while IIIA also includes the significantly stronger calibers .357 SIG and .44 Mag. It is ballistically more comparable to the new European VPAM PM4 & PM5, which have no equivalent in the German SK.

Note: If you are exactly between two sizes, the smaller size is easier to conceal but leaves a gap of 1 inch (2.5 cm) on each side without protection. The larger size overlaps and can therefore be a bit more difficult to conceal.

Neben dem ballistischen Schutz bietet diese Weste auch einen hohen Schnitt- und Stich-Schutz bis 55 Joule. Es erfordert viel Kraft, um durch die DELTA-Weste zu gelangen (der übliche Standard für eine kugelsichere Weste sind 20 Joule).
Diese schusshemmende Weste eignet sich hervorragend als Unterbau für "ICW" Hartballistik-Platten aufgrund ihres geringen Gewichtes und Tragekomforts.
Die Delta-Weste verfügt über Einschubfächer für Hartballistik-Platten mit 10x12"! Diese Standardgröße kann damit direkt mit der Weichballistik kombiniert werden. Es passen auch die dicken PE-Platten problemlos in die Weste.

Die Schutzklasse IIIA wird oft mit der deutschen SK1 verglichen ist dieser aber in gewissen Parametern überlegen - so wird SK1 nur mit 9mm und SK2 nur mit .357 Mag. getestet während IIIA auch die deutlich stärkeren Kaliber .357 SIG und .44 Mag. beinhaltet.
Sie ist ballistisch damit eher vergleichbar mit der neuen europäischen VPAM PM4 & PM5, die keine Entsprechung in der deutschen SK hat.
