The Kimber 1911 Rapide Dusk is a variant of the Rapide pistol family. At its core, the Rapide models are high-quality 1911 pistols that come with modern features and a futuristic look. The generous, deep loading grooves and the weight-saving cuts in the slide immediately catch the eye and not only give the weapon a distinctive appearance but also increase the slide's return speed, allowing for faster shooting sequences. The smooth trigger with a short trigger pull also impresses the discerning shooter.
The design language continues in the G10 grip panels, which feel comfortable yet secure in the hand. Modern features of the Rapide include the texture on the front and back of the grip - Kimber Stiplex - as well as the ambidextrous safety and the enlarged beavertail. The sights are fixed and installed in a Novak cut. The hammer and trigger are skeletonized, and a "low profile" magazine funnel ensures quick and reliable loading. Despite the magazine funnel, all standard 1911 magazines in the respective caliber can be used. The barrel is hard-coated internally (DLC) for corrosion protection and long service life. The Dusk features brushed side surfaces with black contrast under the grip, and the TiCN (Titanium Copper Nitride) coated barrel is prominently displayed at the ejection port and through the lightning cuts.

Die Kimber 1911 Rapide Dusk ist eine Variante der Rapide Pistolenfamilie. Im Kern handelt es sich bei den Rapide um hochwertige 1911 Pistolen, die aber mit modernen Features und einer futuristischen Optik aufwarten. Die großzügigen, tiefen Laderillen und die gewichtssparenden Schlitze im Schlitten fallen sofort ins Auge und geben der Waffe nicht nur ein markantes Äußeres, sondern erhöhen auch die Rücklaufgeschwindigkeit des Schlittens, wodurch schnellere Schussfolgen möglich sind. Der leichtgängige Abzug mit kurzen Abzugsweg überzeugt auch den anspruchsvollen Schützen.
Die Formsprache setzt sich in den G10 Griffschalen fort, welche angenehm, aber sicher in der Hand liegen. Moderne Merkmale der Rapide sind die Struktur auf der Vorder- und Rückseite des Griffstücks - Kimber Stiplex - sowie die beidseitige Sicherung und der vergrößerte Beavertail. Die Visierung ist starr und in einem Novak-Cut eingesetzt. Hammer und Abzug sind skelettiert und ein "low profile" Magazintrichter sorgt für ein schnelles und zuverlässiges laden. Trotz des Magazintrichters können alle Standard 1911 Magazine im jeweiligen Kaliber verwendet werden. Der Lauf ist innen hart beschichtet (DLC) für Korrosionsschutz und lange Lebensdauer. Die Dusk verfügt über gebürstete Seitenflächen mit schwarzem Kontrast unterm Griffstück und der TiCN (Titanium Copper Nitride) beschichtete Lauf kommt am Auswurffenster und durch die lightening cuts richtig zur Geltung.
