Gold Lion Katana The Gold Lion Katana is Cold Steel®'s interpretation of the sword that the samurai of old carried in everyday life to defend themselves and protect their lord, family, and home. It is not only significantly lighter and more agile than some other Cold Steel® katanas, but it also offers more comfort when you wear it on your obi all day long. The Menuki features the symbol of the Japanese Shisa (lion dog), which serves as a fitting motif for this beautiful, lightweight sword in its role as a guardian or protector. The damascus steel blade of the Gold Lion Katana has been expertly hand-ground and polished to a high shine. It features a Hamaguri grind, an Iori Mune (a pointed, A-shaped blade back), and a wavy temper line (Hamon) created through clay tempering. The Tsuba, Fuchi, and Kashira are all made of black iron and adorned with shiny accents of 24-karat gold leaf. The grip, covered in white ray skin, is wrapped with black silk cord. Gold Lion Katana Das Gold Lion Katana ist Cold Steels® Interpretation des Schwertes, das der Samurai von einst im Alltag trug, um sich zu verteidigen, bzw. seinen Herrn, seine Familie und sein Heim zu beschützen. Es ist nicht nur erheblich leichter und flinker als einige andere Cold Steel® Katanas, sondern bietet auch mehr Tragekomfort, wenn Du es den ganzen Tag am Obi trägst. Das Menuki trägt das Symbol des japanischen Shisa (Löwenhund), der in seiner Funktion als Wächter oder Beschützer ein passendes Motiv für dieses schöne, leichtgewichtige Schwert ist. Die Damaststahlklinge des Gold Lion Katana-Schwertes wurde fachmännisch von Hand abgezogen und auf Hochglanz poliert. Sie verfügt über einen Hamaguri-Schliff, eine Iori Mune (einen spitzen, A-förmig gestalteten Klingenrücken) und eine wellenförmige Härtelinie (Hamon), die durch Härten im Lehmmantel erzeugt wurde. Tsuba, Fuchi und Kashira sind alle aus schwarzem Eisen gefertigt und mit glänzenden Akzenten aus 24-karätigem Blattgold verziert. Der mit weißer Rochenhaut bezogene Griff ist mit schwarzer Seidenkordel umwickelt.
