Improvements over the MK3 models have been achieved in the Maral 4x in the Compo Nordic ADJ Fluted version, primarily through the threaded connection between the barrel and the housing. The interface is also stiffer, and the contact surfaces of the stock have been widened. Further enhancements have been made to the hand lever. Its travel has been shortened by 25%, and its button is wider. These modifications increase the precision of the Maral X4 and its shooting comfort.
The chamber lever only needs to be pulled straight back and released; the rest of the reloading process is handled by the rifle itself. The Quick-Reloading-System™ is similar in speed and handling to a semi-automatic rifle. The straight-pull system allows for extremely fast shooting sequences without sacrificing the advantages of a classic repeating rifle. The separate bullet tension ensures maximum safety and very easy handling of the repeater. Furthermore, the long gun impresses with high precision, the well-known Browning Feather-Trigger™ trigger system, and an M14x1 or M15x1 muzzle thread. The extremely lightweight stock made of black composite material is equipped with an adjustable butt plate. The Maral repeater also impresses with its innovative design. The elegance of the color black makes the Maral SF Compo Nordic Adjustable shine not only technically but also visually.
Quick-Reloading-System
The bolt return system guarantees maximum safety, speed, and efficiency. A simple pull on the chamber lever is sufficient to load the first cartridge after changing the magazine. This saves valuable time during the reloading phase, allowing the shooter to fully concentrate on shooting.
Bolt and chamber lever
The proven rotating bolt design stems from years of experience at Browning. The seven lugs lock directly in the barrel. The bolt operates completely inside the receiver during reloading. The chamber lever ends in a textured ball that is perfectly positioned at the height of the trigger. Between the bolt carrier and the chamber lever, there is a movable steel plate with a sunburst finish that covers the ejection port when the bolt is locked.
Magazine and trigger
The magazine with four rounds, as well as the ten-round variant included in the package, can be quickly and easily changed and fits seamlessly with the weapon. The trigger lever is ergonomically positioned in front of the trigger guard. The trigger breaks at approximately 1,400 g. The tension slider is located at the rear of the receiver and is comfortably adapted to the shape of the stock. The tensioning process is quiet and smooth. During reloading, the tension slider remains in the upper position, and the lock is automatically tensioned.
Stock and barrel
The Maral Standard Compo Nordic Adjustable is available in calibers .308 Win., .30-06 Spring., and 9.3x62. The barrel is fluted to allow for high shooting sequences without mirage. The stock is made of high-quality composite material, providing stiffness and stability at a low weight. The fore-end fits comfortably in the hand due to its ergonomic shape. Even in adverse environmental conditions, the rifle does not lose grip thanks to the integrated rubberized grip surfaces. The pistol grip is harmoniously shaped and positioned in relation to the trigger, allowing for full control. The easily detachable buttstock impresses with its adjustable butt plate and ends in the Inflex II™ cap.
Inflex II™ technology
The extremely flexible Inflex II™ butt pad maximally absorbs the recoil of the weapon. The technical design and the highly elastic material ensure that the force of the recoil is directed downwards rather than upwards towards the face. The shooter can better control the shot as the muzzle rise is significantly reduced.

Eine Optimierung gegenüber den MK3-Modellen wurde bei der Maral 4x in der Compo Nordic ADJ Fluted-Ausführung vor allem durch die Gewindeverbindung von Lauf und Gehäuse erreicht. Die Schnittstelle ist zudem steifer und die Auflageflächen des Schafts wurden verbreitert. Weitere Verbesserungen wurden am Handspanner vorgenommen. Sein Weg wurde um 25 % verkürzt und sein Knopf ist breiter. Die Modifikationen erhöhen die Präzision der Maral X4 und ihren Schießkomfort.
Der Kammerstängel muss nur gerade nach hinten gezogen und losgelassen werden, den Rest des Repetiervorgangs erledigt die Büchse von selbst. Das Quick-Reloading-System™ ähnelt in Geschwindigkeit und Handling einer Selbstladebüchse. Das Geradezug-System ermöglicht extrem schnelle Schussfolgen, ohne auf die Vorzüge einer klassischen Repetierbüchse zu verzichten. Die separate Kugelspannung gewährleistet ein Maximum an Sicherheit und eine sehr einfache Handhabung des Repetierers. Weiterhin überzeugt die Langwaffe durch hohe Präzision, das bekannte Browning Feather-Trigger-Abzugssystem™, ein M14x1- bzw. M15x1-Mündungsgewinde. Der äußerst leichte Schaft aus schwarzem Verbundmaterial ist mit einem verstellbaren Schaftrücken ausgerüstet. Der Maral-Repetierer beeindruckt auch durch ein innovatives Design. Die Eleganz der Farbe Schwarz lässt die Maral SF Compo Nordic Adjustable nicht nur technisch, sondern auch optisch glänzen.
Quick-Reloading-System
Das Verschlussrückholsystem garantiert maximale Sicherheit, Schnelligkeit
und Effizienz.
Ein einfacher Zug am Kammerhebel genügt, um nach dem Magazinwechsel die erste Patrone zu laden. Dies spart wertvolle Zeit während der Repetierphase, sodass sich der Schütze voll und ganz auf das Schießen konzentrieren kann.
Verschluss und Kammerstängel
Der bewährte Drehwarzenverschluss entspringt den jahrelangen Erfahrungen der Firma Browning. Die sieben Warzen verriegeln direkt im Lauf. Der Verschluss läuft beim Repetieren vollständig im Inneren des Kastens. Der Kammerstängel endet in einer griffigen Kugel, die perfekt auf Höhe des Abzuges liegt. Zwischen Verschlussträger und Kammerstängel ist ein bewegliches Stahlblech mit Sonnenschliff angebracht, das die Auswurfabdeckung abdeckt, wenn der Verschluss verriegelt ist.
Magazin und Abzug
Das Magazin mit vier Schuss sowie die ebenfalls im Lieferumfang enthaltene Variante mit zehn Schuss lässt sich schnell und einfach wechseln und schließt formschön mit der Waffe ab. Der Auslösehebel sitzt ergonomisch optimal vor dem Abzugsbügel. Der Abzug löst bei ca. 1.400 g aus. Der Spannschieber liegt hinten am Systemkasten und ist angenehm an die Schaftform angepasst. Der Spannvorgang ist geräuscharm und leichtgängig. Beim Repetieren selbst bleibt der Spannschieber in der oberen Stellung und das Schloss ist automatisch gespannt.
Schaft und Lauf
Die Maral Standard Compo Nordic Adjustable ist erhältlich in den Kalibern .308 Win., .30-06 Spring. und 9,3x62. Der Lauf ist kanneliert, um auch hohe Schussfolgen ohne Flimmern zu ermöglichen. Der Schaft besteht aus hochwertigem Verbundmaterial und überzeugt so in punkto Steifigkeit und Stabilität bei geringem Gewicht. Der Vorderschaft liegt durch seine ergonomische Form angenehm in der Hand. Selbst bei widrigen Umweltbedingungen verliert die Büchse nicht an Griffigkeit durch die eingelassenen gummierten Griffflächen. Der Pistolengriff ist harmonisch in Form und Lage zum Abzug und ermöglicht volle Kontrolle. Der leicht zu demontierende Hinterschaft überzeugt durch seinen verstellbaren Schaftrücken und endet in der Inflex II™-Kappe.
Inflex II™-Technologie
Die extrem flexible Inflex II™-Schaftkappe absorbiert den Rückstoß der Waffe maximal. Der technische Aufbau und das sehr elastische Material bewirken, dass die Wucht des Rückstoßes nach unten und nicht nach oben in die Nähe des Gesichts abgeleitet wird. Der Schütze kann den Schuss besser kontrollieren, da das Hochschlagen der Waffe sich deutlich
verringert.
