Since I returned from Africa to Germany, it has been sitting unused in the gun cabinet for 9 years. Therefore, I am now offering it for sale, my former reserve rifle, a Mauser 66 in caliber .375 Holland & Holland Magnum with original safari barrel and dry-standing shotgun trigger.
On the weapon, there is a Zeiss Diavari 1.5 - 6 x 36 scope mounted on SEM. The scope was overhauled in April 2021 by the company Präzisionsoptik Frölich in Kassel (invoice available), and since then has only been fired for re-sighting.
Connoisseurs know that the 1.5-6x36 is one of the best scopes that Zeiss has ever made, versatile for big game hunting or driven hunts. By the way, the scope has reticle 4.
The weapon and scope are used but in top condition as it has been my former reserve rifle.
For those who do not know the Mauser 66: the rifle can be separated from the stock by loosening 2 Allen screws. This makes for two handy parts for transport. After reassembly, the point of impact remains unchanged, no re-sighting is necessary, just a set shot at most.
Weight of the rifle without scope is approximately 4,200g, length despite the 65cm barrel is about 112 cm
There are 64 rounds of ammunition available for the weapon, specifically 33 rounds of Swift A-Frame partial jacket 300 grain (19.5 grams) and 31 rounds of solid cartridges 300 grain, worth approximately 320 euros.
I have successfully hunted lion, leopard, buffalo, large antelopes, etc. with this caliber.

Auf der Waffe ist ein Zeiss Diavari 1,5 - 6 x 36 Zielfernrohr auf SEM montiert. Das Zielfernrohr wurde im April 2021 bei der Firma Präzisionsoptik Frölich in Kassel generalüberholt (Rechnung vorhanden), seit dem nur für das erneute Einschießen geschossen.
Kenner wissen dass das 1,5-6x36 eines der besten Zielfernrohre ist die Zeiss je gebaut hat, vielseitig für Grosswildjagd oder Drückjagd einsetzbar. Das ZF hat übrigens Absehen 4.
Die Waffe und ZF sind gebraucht aber in top Zustand da wie bereits gesagt mein ehemaliges Reservegewehr.
Für alle, die die Mauser 66 nicht kennen: bei dem Gewehr lassen sich Lauf und Schaft durch Lösen von 2 Imbusschrauben trennen. So hat man für den Transport zwei handliche Teile. Nach erneutem Zusammenbau bleibt die Treffpunktlage erhalten, es ist kein erneutes Einschießen notwendig, maximal ein Setzschuß.
