The Mauser 18 Extreme rifle is designed for use under the most challenging hunting conditions. With its full steel construction, robust polymer stock, and durable tungsten Cerakote finish on the barrel and action housing, it withstands any weather conditions.

The Stock
The Mauser 18 Extreme features a one-piece polymer stock in the color Natural Stone. Polymer is an extremely durable plastic. The steep pistol grip is ergonomically designed to keep the shooting hand relaxed at all times. It and the forend are equipped with tactile soft grip inlays in black, which ensure a secure grip even in wet weather and while wearing gloves. A special feature is the storage compartment in the buttstock, which is closed with a removable butt plate that can be taken off without tools.

The Action
The action housing of the Mauser 18 Extreme is coated with a durable and extremely hard tungsten Cerakote finish, protecting it from corrosion. A three-lug locking mechanism ensures secure handling, as does the silently operable three-position trigger safety. The Barrel

Die Mauser 18 Extreme-Büchse ist für den Einsatz unter den schwierigsten Jagdbedingungen ausgelegt. Mit der Vollstahlbauweise, dem robusten Polymerschaft und dem widerstandsfähigen Tungsten-Cerakote-Finish auf Lauf und Systemgehäuse trotzt sie jeder Witterung.

Der Schaft
Die Mauser 18 Extreme hat einen einteiligen Schaft aus Polymer in der Farbe Natural Stone. Polymer ist ein äußerst strapazierfähiger Kunststoff. Der steile Pistolengriff ist ergonomisch so ausgelegt, dass die Schusshand stets entspannt bleibt. An ihm und an dem Vorderschaft befinden sich haptisch angenehme Softgrip-Inlays in Schwarz, die auch bei nassem Wetter und mit Handschuhen einen sicheren Griff gewährleisten. Ein besonderes Feature ist der Stauraum am Hinterschaft. Er wird mit der Schaftkappe, die ohne Werkzeug abnehmbar ist, verschlossen.

Das System
Das Systemgehäuse der Mauser 18 Extreme ist mit einer langlebigen und äußerst harten Tungsten-Cerakote-Beschichtung versehen und damit vor Korrosion geschützt. Eine Drei-Warzen-Verriegelung sorgt für ein sicheres Handling, ebenso wie die lautlos bedienbare 3-Stellungs-Abzugstollen-Sicherung. Der trocken stehende Direktabzug ist stufenlos zwischen 1.000 g und 2.000 g Abzugsgewicht einstellbar. Das entnehmbare Magazin hat eine Kapazität von 5 Patronen.

Der Lauf
Auch der Präzisionslauf der Mauser M 18 Extreme hat ein Tungsten-Cerakote-Finish. Er ist aus kaltgeschmiedetem Stahl gefertigt und kanneliert. Das bietet den Vorteil, dass die durch die Kannelierung vergrößerte Oberfläche des Laufs die Wärme schneller ableitet, so dass auch bei schnellen Schussfolgen das störende Hitzeflimmern minimiert wird. Ein weiterer Vorteil der Kannelierung ist die Gewichtsreduktion.
