The Sellier & Bellot SP (Soft Point) is a classic partial jacket cartridge with a lead core and tombak jacket. Unbeatable about this ammunition is especially its price - the cost per shot is about one euro. The precision of the cartridge is described differently by various hunters and is highly dependent on the weapon - some barrels, however, achieve top performance in terms of precision with this cartridge.
Sellier & Bellot uses comparatively hard primers, which is why more tension from the firing pin is needed for ignition than with the ammunition of other manufacturers. Therefore, it may be necessary to have the gunsmith increase the tension of the firing pin to avoid misfires.
