For sale is an absolute classic of German military technology: an original Pistole 08 from the Mauser factories in Oberndorf am Neckar. This specimen bears the manufacturer code “S/42” on the knee joint and the coveted production year 1937 on the case ring.
The year 1937 is considered by connoisseurs and collectors as the absolute qualitative peak of P08 production before World War II. In this era, the weapons were still fitted by hand with an extremely high level of effort and received the deep, high-gloss bluing of the pre-war period, before production was switched to rough, matte surfaces later in the war.
The weapon itself is matching numbers except for the magazine
It comes from a very well-maintained inheritance collection, which I am gradually dissolving after careful consideration. It is not easy to part with these pieces, but they should go into the hands of people who appreciate their quality and history.
The pistol can of course be viewed and inspected on site by appointment. I place great value on transparency so that you can personally verify the condition of the weapon.

Dieses Exemplar trägt auf dem Kniegelenk den Herstellercode „S/42“ und auf dem Hülsenring das begehrte Produktionsjahr 1937.
Das Jahr 1937 gilt unter Kennern und Sammlern als der absolute qualitative Höhepunkt der P08-Fertigung vor dem Zweiten Weltkrieg. In dieser Epoche wurden die Waffen noch mit einem extrem hohen Aufwand in Handarbeit eingepasst und erhielten die tiefe, hochglänzende Streichbrünierung der Vorkriegszeit, bevor die Produktion im späteren Kriegsverlauf auf raue, matte Oberflächen umgestellt wurde.

Sie stammt aus einer sehr gepflegten, Erbsammlung, die ich nach reiflicher Überlegung nach und nach auflöse. Es fällt nicht leicht, sich von diesen Stücken zu trennen, jedoch sollen sie in die Hände Personen gelangen, die ihre Qualität und Geschichte zu schätzen wissen.
Die Pistole kann nach vorheriger Terminvereinbarung selbstverständlich vor Ort besichtigt und begutachtet werden. Ich lege großen Wert auf Transparenz, sodass Sie sich persönlich vom Zustand der Waffe überzeugen können.
Der Preis ist Verhandlungsbasis. Allerdings bitte ich darum realistisch zu bleiben.
