Observing with the spotting scope previously required a certain effort: carrying a tripod, setting up the tripod, mounting the spotting scope…: that is now a thing of the past! Swarovski has integrated an optimally effective image stabilizer into the ST Balance 14-35x50 spotting scope, allowing for observations with steady and razor-sharp images handheld.
The Image Stabilizer
The necessary technology developed by Swarovski is called “Swarobalance.” It combines sensitive sensors with precise electronics and fine mechanics in the image stabilizer. Over 1,000 measurements per second continuously adjust the position of the lenses, ensuring that even at high magnifications, the image does not vibrate and remains stable. The image stabilizer can be activated at the push of a button and is then fully operational in just 2 seconds without needing to perform any setup. The time lost due to setting up the tripod is eliminated. The stabilizer is powered by a Li-Ion 1860 mAh-RB-S battery, which is included along with a suitable charger. After 5 minutes of inactivity, the stabilizer automatically enters standby mode, from which it is reactivated by movement. Thus, a full charge lasts for up to 12 hours of operation.
The Optics
The 50 mm lens of the ST Balance 14-35x50 ensures high light transmission, even in lower light conditions. The transmission value is 88%. The optical system employs the proven Swarovision technology. The images are color-accurate, rich in detail and contrast, and sharp to the very edges. The close focus range starts at just 3.4 m. For the slightly lower magnification compared to the AT model, you get an enormous field of view of 70-39 m at 1,000 m.
The Device
The ST Balance 14-35x50 is a spotting scope with a straight view, making it easy to use with one hand and more compact. It is designed in Swarovski green. Its housing is made of robust aluminum, effectively protecting the sensitive interior. When the image stabilizer is turned off, the optics automatically take on a locked position to protect them during transport. With dimensions of 268x91x80 cm with the eyecup lowered and a weight of only 1,300 g, the spotting scope can be easily carried even on longer trips.
Scope of Delivery
Beobachten mit dem Spektiv benötigte bisher einen gewissen Aufwand: Stativ tragen, Stativ aufstellen, Spektiv montieren …: Das hat jetzt ein Ende! Swarovski hat bei dem ST Balance 14-35x50-Spektiv einen optimal wirksamen Bildstabilisator eingebaut, der Beobachtungen mit ruhigen und gestochen scharfen Bildern aus der Hand heraus erlaubt erlaubt.
Der Bildstabilisator
„Swarobalance“ heißt die dazu nötige von Swarovski entwickelte Technologie. Sie vereint in dem Bildstabilisator sensible Sensoren mit präziser Elektronik und feinster Mechanik. Über 1.000 Messungen pro Sekunde passen die Position der Linsen kontinuierlich an, so dass selbst bei starken Vergrößerungen das Bild nicht vibriert und stabil bleibt. Der Bildstabilisator wird bei Bedarf per Knopfdruck aktiviert und ist dann, ohne ein Set-Up durchführen zu müssen, in nur 2 Sekunden voll einsatzfähig. Auch der Zeitverlust durch den Stativaufbau fällt weg. Betrieben wird er Stabilisator mit einem Li-Ion 1860 mAh-RB-S-Akku, dieser und ein passendes Ladegerät sind im Lieferumfang enthalten. Nach 5 Minuten Inaktivität geht der Stabilisator automatisch in den Standby-Modus, aus dem er durch Bewegung wieder geweckt wird. So reicht eine volle Ladung für bis zu 12 Stunden Betrieb.
Die Optik
Das 50-mm-Objektiv des ST Balance 14-35x50 gewährleistet einen hohen Lichteinfall, auch bei schwächerem Licht. Der Transmissionswert beträgt 88 %. Bei dem optischen System ist die bewährte Swarovision-Technologie zum Einsatz gekommen. Die Bilder sind farbecht, detail- und kontrastreich sowie scharf bis in die äußersten Randbereiche. Der Naheinstellbereich beginnt bereits bei 3,4 m. Für die im Gegensatz zu dem AT-Modell etwas geringere Vergrößerung bekommt man ein enormes Sehfeld von 70-39 m auf 1.000 m.
Das Gerät
Das ST Balance 14-35x50 ist ein Spektiv mit geradem Einblick und damit gut einhändig einsetzbar und kompakter. Es ist in dem Swarovski-Grün gestaltet. Sein Gehäuse ist aus robustem Aluminium und schützt das empfindliche Innenleben wirksam. Wird der Bildstabilisator ausgeschaltet, nimmt die Optik automatische eine verriegelte Position ein, damit sie für den Transport geschützt ist. Mit einer Größe von 268x91x80 cm bei gesenkter Augenmuschel und einem Gewicht von nur 1.300 g lässt sich das Spektiv, auch bei längeren Touren, problemlos mitführen.
