The Austrian traditional company Glock has developed the A-Cut system in collaboration with the Swedish red dot sight manufacturer Aimpoint. This interface allows the sight to be mounted directly onto the pistol without adapter plates. Thus, the G43X with the Aimpoint COA forms a unit with maximum stability.

Materials and Construction

The G43X is a compact slimline model with a lightweight and robust polymer frame with recoil-compensating properties. An integrated rail in front of the trigger guard allows for the mounting of accessories such as lights and lasers. The slide stop lever holds the slide in the rear position after firing the last round in the magazine, and a visible and tactile indicator shows whether a round is in the chamber. In the Safe Action system, the three safeties – trigger, firing pin, and drop safety – disengage sequentially when the trigger is pulled and automatically re-engage when released. The trigger travel is reduced compared to other Glock models, but the grip angle corresponds to that of the larger Glock pistols. The Glock Marksman Barrel (GMB) is designed for optimal precision in the proven polygonal barrel design.

Ergonomics

The magazine holder of the G43X can be mounted on the left or right side of the pistol, allowing for secure and comfortable handling for both left- and right-handed users. The finger grooves on the slide, which are also located at the front, provide a good grip even when wet and with gloves. The grip with the beavertail is designed to allow the pistol to be handled securely regardless of hand size.

Aimpoint COA Combo

Thanks to the A-Cut interface, the sight is absolutely secure on the pistol. The use of the red dot sight is intuitive, as aiming is done similarly to using iron sights. A large field of view with a narrow frame provides a good overview. The optics are completely sealed against environmental influences and dirt, and they are waterproof up to 25 meters deep. The red dot sight features 12 brightness settings: 1-4 for nighttime use, 5-12 for daylight use. Elevation and windage adjustments are simple and straightforward with audible clicks using a T10 Torx. The battery life is approximately 5 years of continuous operation, and a replacement can be done without removing the sight.

Der Schlittenfanghebel stoppt den Schlitten nach dem Abfeuern der letzten Patrone im Magazin in der hinteren Position, eine seh- und fühlbare Anzeige am zeigt an, ob sich eine Patrone im Patronenlager befindet. Bei dem Safe Action-System lösen sich die drei Sicherungen – Abzugs-, Schlagbolzen- und Fallsicherung – nacheinander beim Betätigen des Abzugs und rasten beim Loslassen automatisch wieder ein. Der Abzugsweg ist im Vergleich zu anderen Glock-Modellen reduziert, der Griffwinkel entspricht jedoch dem der größeren Glock-Pistolen. Der Glock Marksman-Lauf (GMB) ist für optimale Präzision in dem bewährten polygonalen Laufdesign gestaltet.

Ein großes Sichtfeld mit schmalem Rahmen sorgt für einen guten Überblick. Die Optik ist komplett gegen Umwelteinflüsse und Verschmutzungen geschlossen, sie ist bis 25 m Tiefe wasserdicht. Das Rotpunktvisier verfügt über 12 Helligkeitseinstellungen: 1-4 für den nächtlichen Einsatz, 5-12 für den Einsatz bei Tageslicht. Die Höhen- und Seiteneinstellung erfolgt mit hörbaren Klicke einfach und unkompliziert mit einem T10-Torx.
