The T2 adapter is particularly stable and precisely made of metal - allowing even large and heavy lenses to be adapted. The adapter compensates for the difference in flange focal distance, so all lenses can be manually focused up to infinity. There is no electronic connection between the camera and the lens, which is why aperture and focus must be set manually.
