The German Sport Guns GmbH (GSG), which produces the Mauser pistols under license, has given the Mauser M20 Black Cerakote excellent "parents": the pistol features the design, caliber, system, and safety functions of the Sig Sauer P226 and the GSG Firefly grip and trigger mechanism. The result is a semi-automatic pistol that can hold its own in comparisons.
Compact and high-quality
The Mauser M20 Black Cerakote is 10% more compact than the P226 with its 4-inch barrel. Other unique features include its mass lock (blowback system) and the CNC-machined aluminum slide with Cerakote coating, which allows for the use of both weaker ammunition and HV ammunition. A spring for the latter is factory-installed, while a replacement spring for standard ammunition is included in the package. The Mauser M20 has a single-action / double-action trigger system. The magazine is made of metal.
Ergonomic and versatile
The Mauser M20 has an ergonomic grip made of durable polymer and black textured grip panels made of plastic. The ambidextrous manual thumb safety makes the pistol suitable for both right- and left-handed shooters. The pistol is equipped with a Picatinny rail for mounting a bridge mount and a decocking lever. The 3-point contrast sight is adjustable, with a sight length of 140 mm.
Safety
In addition to the decocking lever and thumb safety, the Mauser M20 also has a magazine safety and â in case of emergencies that are unlikely to occur â a child safety lock that can be activated and deactivated with a key.
