In the context of a military collection dissolution, there were also handcrafted battle axes based on historical models. Axe blades with "boarding hooks" are hand-forged, and wooden handles are adorned with carvings. I am not aware of which population group once fought with such weapons - certainly made even sturdier and bulkier. There are 3 objects with slightly different designs and minor differences in preservation - from excellent to good. The lengths are 38, 45, and 48 cm. Pictures are part of the offer. Im Fundus einer Militaria Sammlungsauflösung befanden sich auch handgefertigte Streitäxte nach historischem Vorbild. Axtblätter mit "Enterhaken" sind handgeschmiedet, Holzstiele mit Schnitzereien versehen. Welche Bevölkerungsgruppe mit derartigen Waffen einst kämpfte - sicherlich noch stabiler und wuchtiger gefertigt - ist mir nicht bekannt. Es sind 3 Objekte in etwas unterschiedlicher Gestaltung und geringem Erhaltsunterschied - von exzellent bis gut. Die Längen sind 38, 45 und 48 cm. Bilder sind Bestandteil des Angebotes.
