The handle is made from beech wood, which has a very high strength and also better withstands shock loads when chopping. The handle is hand-hewn and fits extremely well in the hand. Additionally, it is protected by bound reindeer leather. The axe head, made from high-quality 5Cr15MoV and hardened to 56 HRC, features a modified grind that is primarily designed for chopping. The brown leather sheath protects the stainless steel axe head during transport. The handle end made of moose bone perfectly rounds off the robust bushcraft axe. Mit der Mettmies Bushcraft Axt bietet Karesuando eine modifizierte Variante der beraus beliebten Unna Aksu an, die speziell fr Bushcrafter optimiert wurde. Der Stiel wird aus Rotbuchenholz gefertigt, das eine sehr hohe Festigkeit besitzt und zudem Schockbelastungen beim Hacken noch besser vertrgt. Der Stiel wird von Hand behauen und liegt extrem griffig in der Hand. Zustzlich wird er durch gebundenes Rentierleder geschtzt. Der aus hochwertigem 5Cr15MoV gefertigte und auf 56 HRC gehrtete schwarz lackierte Axtkopf weist einen modifizierten Anschliff auf, der ebenfalls vorrangig auf Hacken ausgelegt ist.
