The extremely robust housing of the Viper PST, with a central tube diameter of 30 mm, is made from a single piece of aluminum. The Vortex ArmorTek coating protects the outer lenses from dirt, grease, and scratches. O-ring seals make the PST waterproof and prevent the ingress of dust and dirt.
Thanks to the high-quality XD™ lens elements, the Vortex Viper PST delivers a clean, sharp, and distortion-free image even in twilight. The Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 is XR™ Multi-Coated: The unique coating of the lenses ensures top-notch light transmission and excellent anti-reflective properties on all glass surfaces. Argon gas filling prevents internal fogging.
The 10-level adjustable illuminated reticle of the Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 is ready for any situation. 3 levels for twilight and 5 levels for daytime shooting leave nothing to be desired. The package is rounded off with 2 illumination levels for use with a night vision device. Between each of the 10 illumination levels is an "OFF" position for quickly finding the preferred brightness and, of course, for conserving battery life.
The illumination control knob of the PST Gen 2 is placed laterally at the height of the turrets, making it easy to operate in various shooting positions.
The adjustment turrets are easy to operate without tools and are cleanly and clearly divided.

Das in 10 Stufen einstellbare Leuchtabsehen des Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 ist allen Situationen gewachsen. 3 Stufen für die Dämmerung und 5 Stufen für das Schießen bei Tag lassen keine Wünsche offen. Abgerundet wird das Paket durch 2 Leuchtstufen für den Einsatz mit einem Nachtsichtgerät. Zwischen jeder der 10 Leuchtstufen befindet sich eine „OFF“ Stellung zum schnellen finden der bevorzugten Leuchtintensität und natürlich zum schonen der Batterie.
Der Drehknopf des Leuchtabsehens ist beim PST Gen 2. seitlich auf Höhe der Türme platziert und somit in den verschiedensten Schusspositionen immer leicht zu bedienen.
Die Verstelltürme sind ohne Werkzeug leicht zu bedienen und sind sauber und deutlich unterteilt.
