The extremely robust housing of the Viper PST, with a central tube diameter of 30 mm, is made from a single piece of aluminum.
The Vortex ArmorTek coating protects the outer lenses from dirt, grease, and scratches.
O-ring seals make the PST waterproof and prevent the ingress of dust and dirt.

Argon gas filling prevents internal fogging.

The 10-level adjustable illuminated reticle of the Vortex Viper PST Gen 2 is ready for any situation.
3 levels for twilight and 5 levels for daytime shooting leave nothing to be desired.
The package is rounded off with 2 illumination levels for use with a night vision device.
Between each of the 10 illumination levels is an "OFF" position for quickly finding the preferred brightness and, of course, for conserving battery life.

The illumination control knob of the PST Gen 2 is placed laterally at the height of the turrets, making it easy to operate in various shooting positions.

The adjustment turrets are easy to operate without tools and are cleanly and clearly divided.
