Il revolver Smith & Wesson modello 28 fu introdotto nell’aprile 1954 nella versione a 5 viti. Fu chiamato Highway Patrolman ed era una versione più semplificata del model 27. Questo che presentiamo è un modello 28 con matricola con prefisso “S”, canna da 6″ rigorosamente spinata, quattro viti (una sotto il ponticello). Cane e grilletto tartarugati e tacca di mira regolabile. Questo raro revolver fu prodotto tra il 1957, anno di apposizione del modello 28 all’interno del fusto, e il 1960 con l’introduzione della versione 28-1. Canna, meccanica e azione sono ottime. Canna a specchio con rigature bene definite e brunitura originale dell’epoca. Guancette in legno di rosa, nella versione corretta per questo modello, “diamond grips”. Completa di scatola originale e coeva marcata Highway Patrolman. Vera e raro pezzo da collezione ideale per una collezione a tema. Calibro .357 Magnum e arma che gode di classificazione ad uso sportivo.
