In kombinierten Waffen wird sie gerne mit einer kleineren, Rehwild tauglichen Patrone (z. B. im Einstecklauf) geführt. Sie lässt sich gut aus leichten Waffen verschießen und wird vor allem als Drückjagd-Patrone in der Doppelbüchse oder dem Doppelbüchsdrilling geschätzt.
