The 9.3x62 is ideal for forest hunting and suitable for medium shooting distances. It is especially game-friendly on roe deer. The 9.3x62 was developed around 1905 and was intended specifically for use in the then German colonies in Africa. However, the cartridge was quickly used on Central European big game, especially elk, red deer, and wild boar, with great success, so it did not remain a purely "Africa cartridge." The RWS loadings with bullet weights from 11.9 g to 19.0 g increase the versatility of this popular big game cartridge. Auf Rehwild wirkt sie besonders wildbretschonend.   Die 9,3x62 ist um das Jahr 1905 entwickelt worden und sollte speziell in den damaligen deutschen Kolonien Afrikas zur Anwendung kommen.
