Ihre Eigenpräzision ist ausgezeichnet und als Jagdpatrone ist sie für alles mittelstarke aber auch für schwächeres Rot- und Schwarzwild bestens geeignet. Mit dem 8,2 g schweren RWS Kegelspitz-Geschoss oder dem 9,1 g schweren RWS Doppelkern-Geschoss wird sie im jagdlichen Einsatz zur Allroundpatrone. Heute ist sie vor allem als Jagd- und Sportpatrone auf Weiten von bis zu 300 m international sehr beliebt.
