Die Springfield Echelon Crossover with Aimpoint COA is a new and innovative pistol with an integrated A-CUT interface and pre-mounted red dot sight. Manufactured by the Croatian company HS Produkt, which has a long-standing cooperation with Springfield in the field of handguns, the Echelon offers state-of-the-art manufacturing techniques, practical ergonomics, and modular design.
The centerpiece is the "Central Operating Group," the combined trigger unit with barrel mount and guide rails. This unit can be easily removed and thus switched between frames. As a result, the frame no longer constitutes a significant part under German Weapons Law, as this function is fulfilled by the "Central Operating Group." The unit is made of stainless steel. The standard configuration always includes the medium frame, and each Echelon is delivered with three interchangeable backstraps, allowing the shooter to customize the grip to their preferences. The feel itself is optimized for use under all (bad) conditions. It not only offers optimal grip for the shooting hand but also features texturing in various areas of the frame to provide secure hold for all fingers and the support hand.
All controls are ambidextrous. Even the magazine release button does not need to be modified, a real plus for left-handed shooters. The trigger guard is enlarged and can be operated with gloves. The slide is heavily textured to facilitate easy racking. The slide has integrated steps at the front and rear to ensure the hand sits securely when manipulating the firearm. The fixed steel sights are designed in height and function for the pre-mounted Aimpoint COA. The cold-forged barrel and slide are coated with Melonite – for high corrosion resistance and durability.
Unlike the standard model, this variant is delivered with the A-Cut optic interface and comes factory-equipped with an Aimpoint COA.
COA stands for Clever Optics Advancement, and the name truly fits: The small optic offers outstanding and highly shot-resistant construction, combined with a clean 3.5 MOA red dot that can be quickly and securely operated via side push buttons. The sight is "hooked" into the slide and secured by the screwed rear sight. Advantage over all sights with screws directly in the frame: The structural integrity of the sight is significantly increased, allowing for higher shot loads. Potential weak points due to drilling are avoided. The sight withstands stresses according to MIL-STD-810G, 514.6E-1 Category 24.

Die Springfield Echelon Crossover mit Aimpoint COA ist eine neue und innovative Pistole mit integrierter A-CUT Schnittstelle und vormontiertem Leuchtpunktvisier. Gefertigt von der kroatischen Firma HS Produkt, welche mit Springfield eine lange Kooperation im Bereich Kurzwaffen vorweisen kann, bietet die Echelon modernste Fertigungstechniken und praxisorientierte Ergonomie und modulares Design.
Das Herzstück bildet die "Central Operating Group", die kombinierte Abzugseinheit mit Laufhalterung und Führungsschienen. Diese Einheit kann einfach ausgebaut und so zwischen Griffstücken gewechselt werden. Dadurch stellt das Griffstück nach deutschen WaffG kein wesentliches Teil mehr dar, da diese Funktion von der "Central Operating Group" erfüllt wird. Die Einheit ist aus Stainless Steel gefertigt. Als Standard ist immer das mittlere Griffstück verbaut und jede Echelon wird mit drei wechselbaren Griffrücken ausgeliefert So kann der Schütze den Griff nach seinen Wünschen anpassen. Die Haptik selber ist optimiert auf den Einsatz unter allen (miesen) Bedingungen. Sie bietet nicht nur der Schießhand optimalen Halt, sondern verfügt auch über Texturierungen an verschiedenen Stellen des Griffstücks, um allen Fingern und der Unterstützungshand sicheren Halt zu geben.
Alle Bedienelemente sind beidseitig bedienbar. Selbst der Magazinlöseknopf muss nicht umgebaut werden, ein echtes Plus für Linkshändern. Der Abzugsbügel ist vergrößert und kann mit Handschuhen bedient werden. Der Schlitten ist stark texturiert, um ein einfaches Durchladen zu ermöglichen. Vorne und hinten verfügt der Schlitten über eingearbeitete Stufen, damit die Hand auch wirklich sicher sitzt, wenn die Waffe manipuliert wird. Das starre Stahlvisier ist in Höhe und Funktion auf das vormontierte Aimpoint COA ausgelegt. Der kaltgeschmiedete Lauf und der Schlitten sind mit Melonite beschichtet - für eine hohe Korrosionsbeständigkeit und Lebensdauer.
Im Gegensatz zum Standardmodell wird diese Variante mit der A-Cut Optikschnittstelle ausgeliefert und verfügt ab Werk über ein Aimpoint COA.
COA steht für Clever Optics Advancement und der Name ist wirklich Programm: Die kleine Optik bietet eine herausragende und höchst schussfeste Verarbeitung, kombiniert mit einem sauberen 3,5 MOA Leuchtpunkt, der sich über seitliche Drucktasten schnell und griffsicher bedienen lässt. Das Visier ist in den Schlitten "eingehakt" und durch die verschraubte Kimme gesichert. Vorteil gegenüber allen Visieren mit Schrauben direkt im Korpus: Die strukturelle Integrität des Visiers wird deutlich erhöht und damit sind höhere Schussbelastungen machbar. Mögliche Schwachstellen durch die Bohrungen werden vermieden. So besteht das Visier Belastungen gemäß MIL-STD-810G, 514.6E-1 Kategorie 24
