The Walther PDP Polymer Professional Full Size SD MB with a 5.1" barrel is a modern pistol manufactured in Germany. Unlike the standard version, it comes from the factory with a longer barrel featuring a muzzle thread and a compensator. Like all Professional models, it also includes the magazine funnel (Jet Funnel) and the competition-optimized Dynamic Performance Trigger. The included magazines are equipped with extended magazine bases. Manufactured by the traditional manufacturer Carl Walther, the PDP platform is characterized by very good ergonomics and emphasizes good "pointability," meaning quick target acquisition through an intuitive grip. Robustly constructed and equipped with several automatic safeties, the pistol offers secure handling under all conditions, thanks in part to its aggressive texturing on the slide and grip, while the specially shaped grip end provides additional support with a small "lip" for the hand.

Each version of the PDP is equipped with an "optic ready" interface, allowing for the mounting of a variety of optics thanks to corresponding adapter plates. The interface is positioned deep in the slide, enabling co-witnessing with many red dot sights using the standard sights. The rear sight and front sight follow the Glock standard, leaving nothing in the way of personal optimization.

All PDP models feature a stepped chamber, which ensures better guidance of the cartridge and more efficient combustion behavior—resulting in a clean and precise shooting weapon. The slide catch and disassembly lever are ambidextrous, while the magazine release button is standardly mounted on the left side but can also be switched.

The Walther PDP Polymer Fullsize Professional features a polymer grip with interchangeable backstraps (3 included) and the "Dynamic Performance Trigger," which surpasses the service standard trigger in several aspects. With a clearly defined pressure point at 1,250g, the trigger breaks cleanly at 2,500g, just like the standard trigger—but the take-up is even shorter, the overtravel is reduced, and the reset is minimized. It is effectively a completely revised trigger with a straight trigger shoe optimized for sport shooting. The standard magazine capacity is 18 rounds, and the main difference from the "Compact" model is found in the grip length: it is approximately 8mm longer. Compared to the "Match," the "Professional" features the standard slide and is only delivered with 18-round magazines, of which there are 3.

Die Walther PDP Polymer Professional Full Size SD MB mit 5,1" Laauf ist eine moderne Pistole aus deutscher Fertigung. Abweichend zur Standardvariante ist sie ab Werk mit einem längeren Lauf mit Mündungsgewinde und einem Kompensator ausgestattet. Wie alle Professional-Modelle verfügt sie ausserdem über den Magazintrichter (Jet Funnel) und dem auf den Wettkampf optimierten Dynamic Performance Trigger. Passend dazu verfügen die beiliegenden Magazine über die verlängerten Magazinböden. Hergestellt von dem Traditionshersteller Carl Walther zeichnet sich die PDP-Plattform durch eine sehr gute Ergonomie aus und legt Wert auf eine gute "pointability", d.h. eine schnelle Zielerfassung durch eine intuitive Handlage. Robust gefertigt und mit mehreren automatischen Sicherungen versehen, bietet die Pistole nicht zuletzt durch Ihre aggressive Strukturierung an Schlitten und Griffstück ein sicheres Handling unter allen Bedingungen, das speziell geformte Griffende gibt mit einer kleinen "Lippe" der Hand zusätzlich Halt.

Jede Version der PDP ist mit einer "optic ready" Schnittstelle ausgestattet, wodurch dank entsprechender Adapterplatten eine Vielzahl von Optiken montiert werden kann. Die Schnittstelle sitzt tief im Schlitten, ein Co-Witnessing ist hiermit bei vielen Leuchtpunktvisieren bereits mit der Standardvisierung gegeben. Kimme und Korn verwenden den Glock-Standard - einer persönlichen Optimierung steht dadurch nichts im Wege.

Alle PDP-Modelle verfügen über ein gestuftes Patronenlager, dieses sorgt für eine bessere Liderung der Patrone und ein effizienteres Abbrandverhalten - für eine saubere und präzise schießende Waffe. Der Schlittenfang- und Zerlegehebel sind beidseitig angeordnet, der Magazinlöseknopf ist standardmäßig auf der linken Seite montiert, lässt sich aber auch umbauen.

Die Walther PDP Polymer Fullsize Professional verfügt über ein Polymergriffstück mit wechselbaren Griffrücken (3 Stück liegen bei) und den "Dynamic Performance Trigger", der den dienstlichen Standardabzug noch in einigen Punkten übertrifft. Mit einem klar definierten Druckpunkt bei 1.250g bricht der Abzug sauber bei 2.500g wie auch der Standardabzug - aber der Vorweg ist noch geringer, der Overtravel kürzer und der Reset nochmals minimiert. Es ist effektiv ein in allen Punkten überarbeiteter Abzug mit einem für das sportliche Schießen optimierten geraden Abzugszüngel. Die Standard-Magazinkapazität beträgt 18 Schuss und der Hauptunterschied zum "Compact" Modell ist in der Griffstücklänge verortet: es ist ca. 8mm länger.
Im Vergleich zur "Match" verfügt die "Professional" über den Standardschlitten und wird nur mit 18 Schuss Magazinen, aber davon 3 Stück, ausgeliefert.
