The straight-pull repeater rifle Steyr RMS Wild is a modern rifle characterized by speed, maneuverability, safety, and an extremely robust construction.
The Stock
The green polymer stock can be individually adjusted in length and height at the push of a button. It is symmetrical and therefore usable for both left and right-handed shooters. The black inlays on the grip surfaces feel pleasant in the hands. The shape of the pistol grip is designed so that the shooting hand remains relaxed at all times.
The System
The monobloc system from Steyr is cold-forged from a single piece of steel. It features a 2-position firing pin safety. The direct trigger has a pull weight of 700 g, and the trigger is adjustable by 8 mm. The ergonomic chamber handle allows for comfortable and quick cycling. The magazine has a capacity of 3 cartridges. The RMS Wild is available in the calibers .30-06Spring and .308Win. There are two Picatinny rails on the system housing and at the end of the fore-end for mounting optics and accessories.
The Barrel
The barrel of the RMS Wild has been cold-forged together with the system to optimize the vibration behavior. The smooth transition from the bolt race, chamber, and barrel ensures the highest precision. It is 47 and 51 cm long (.308Win) or 56 cm long (.30-06Spring), without sights, and has an M15x1 thread.

Der Schaft
Der grüne Polymerschaft kann sowohl in der Länge als auch per Knopfdruck in der Höhe individuell angepasst werden. Er ist symmetrisch und daher beidhändig nutzbar. Die schwarzen Einlagen an den Griffflächen liegen haptisch angenehm in den Händen. Die Form des Pistolengriffs ist so angelegt, dass die Schusshand stets entspannt bleibt.
Das System
Das Monobloc-System von Steyr ist aus einem Stahlstück kaltgeschmiedet. Es verfügt über eine 2-Positionen-Schlagbolzensicherung. Der Direktabzug hat ein Abzugsgewicht von 700 g, der Abzug ist um 8 mm verstellbar. Der ergonomische Kammergriff erlaubt ein komfortables und schnelles Repetieren. Das Magazin hat eine Kapazität von 3 Patronen. Die RMS Wild ist in den Kalibern .30-06Spring und .308Win erhältlich. Auf dem Systemgehäuse und am Ende des Vorderschafts befindet sich zwei Picatinny-Schienen zur Montage von Optiken und Zubehör.
Der Lauf
Der Lauf der RMS Wild wurde mit dem System zusammen in einem Verbund kaltgeschmiedet, um das Schwingungsverhalten zu optimieren. Der fließende Übergang von Verschlussgang, Kammer und Lauf gewährleistet höchste Präzision. Er ist je nach Kaliber 47 und 51 cm (.308Win) oder 56 cm (.30-06Spring) lang, ohne Visierung und hat ein M15x1-Gewinde.
