The OxyCap Coating
The innovative surface hardening process OxyCAP, developed in-house by Akkar, is a heat treatment process that protects the metal components better than conventional coatings. This treatment applies to the steel housing and the locking parts. It results in high abrasion, corrosion, and impact resistance. The OxyCap-hardened surfaces are extremely smooth, so dirt and residues hardly adhere, which also facilitates the cleaning and maintenance of the shotgun.
The Stock
The stock in the left-handed version of the Churchill Hunting 812E OxyCap is made of walnut and has a matte surface. Its ergonomics ensure relaxed shooting, and the grip areas on the pistol grip and forend feel pleasantly tactile in the hands with their fish scale texture. The stock is finished with a black cap.
The System
The black receiver with the described OxyCap finish and the completely black trigger unit match perfectly with the walnut wood. The action box is made of steel. The shotgun is designed for caliber 12/76 and steel shot. It features an ejector and a selectable single trigger.

Die OxyCap-Beschichtung
Das neuartige, von Akkar hauseigen entwickelte Oberflächenhärtungsverfahren OxyCAP ist ein Wärmebehandlungsverfahren, das die Metallkomponenten besser als herkömmliche Beschichtungen schützt. Damit sind das Stahlgehäuse und die Verschlussteile behandelt. Diese Behandlung führt zu einer hohen Abriebs-, Korrosions- und Stoßfestigkeit. Die OxyCap-gehärteten Oberflächen sind extrem glatt, so dass Schmutz und Rückstände kaum haften bleiben, was auch die Reinigung und die Wartung der Flinte erleichtert.
Der Schaft
Der Schaft in der Linksausführung der Churchill Hunting 812E OxyCap ist aus Nussbaumholz gefertigt und hat eine matte Oberfläche. Seine Ergonomie gewährleistet ein entspanntes Schießen, die Griffflächen an Pistolengriff und Vorderschaft liegen mit ihrer Fischhautstruktur haptisch angenehm in den Händen. Abgeschlossen wird der Schaft von einer schwarzen Kappe.
Das System
Die schwarze Basküle mit dem beschriebenen OxyCap-Finish und die ebenfalls komplett schwarze Abzugseinheit passen optisch perfekt zu dem Schaftholz. Der Systemkasten ist aus Stahl gefertigt. Die Flinte ist für Kaliber 12/76 und Stahlschrotbeschuss ausgelegt. Sie verfügt über einen Ejektor und einen umschaltbaren Einabzug.
Die Läufe
Die Churchill Hunting 812E OxyCap ist mit 71 cm langen übereinanderliegenden Läufen ausgestattet. Die Laufoberfläche ist matt brüniert, die Visierschiene ist 7 mm breit und hat ein rotes Fiberkorn. 5 Wechselchockes sind im Lieferumfang enthalten.
