Materials and Construction

The G45 is a crossover model that combines the lightweight and robust polymer full-size frame with recoil-compensating properties of the G17 with the compact slide of the G19 and the textured surface of the Gen4. The result is a multifunctional, modern pistol. It is coated with nDLC for optimal protection against corrosion and mechanical damage. An integrated rail in front of the trigger guard allows for the mounting of accessories such as lights and lasers. In the Safe Action system, the three safeties – trigger, firing pin, and drop safety – disengage sequentially when the trigger is pulled and automatically re-engage when released. A visible and tactile indicator shows whether a round is in the chamber. The Glock Marksman Barrel (GMB) is designed for optimal precision in the proven polygonal barrel design.

Ergonomics

The slide stop lever of the G45 is ambidextrous and allows for safe and comfortable handling of the slide for both left- and right-handed users. The finger grooves on the slide, which are also located at the front, provide grip even in wet conditions and with gloves. The magazine funnel allows for quick magazine changes, and the enlarged magazine base facilitates extraction when needed. The grip is designed without finger grooves so that the pistol can be securely handled regardless of hand size. Interchangeable beavertail backstraps in two different sizes allow for individual adjustment.

Aimpoint COA Combo

Thanks to the A-Cut interface, the sight sits absolutely securely on the pistol. The use of the red dot sight is intuitive, as aiming is done like with iron sights. A large field of view with a narrow frame provides a good overview. The optics are completely sealed against environmental influences and dirt, and they are waterproof up to 25 m depth. The red dot sight features 12 brightness settings: 1-4 for nighttime use, 5-12 for daylight use. Elevation and windage adjustments are made easily and straightforwardly with audible clicks using a T10 Torx. The battery life is approximately 5 years of continuous operation, and a replacement can be done without removing the sight.
