The Jaeger NXT from Haenel is a robust and maneuverable straight-pull repeater rifle in the short version, which is versatile but shows its particular strength in driven hunts. In this version, it is available for calibers .308Win and 8x57JS.

The Stock
The composite stock of the rifle is individually adjustable in various ways. With the push of a button, the stock's comb can be infinitely height-adjusted, and the length of the stock can be adjusted to your personal ergonomic needs without tools using different interchangeable caps, shortening it by 7 mm or lengthening it by 5 mm. The grip areas feature soft-touch inserts that feel pleasant in the hands. The forend has a trapezoidal shape for optimal support.

The System
The system is made of robust dur-aluminum. The Jaeger NXT features a torsion lock that automatically twists the cylinder in the sleeve. The kickdown chamber handle also serves as the manual cocking device; it rotates and locks the bolt via a cone gear in the barrel while moving the cylinder. In the front third of the pivot area, the chamber handle cocks the rifle and prepares it for firing. The chamber lock lever can be set in three positions for unloading, firing, and securing. The direct trigger has a trigger stop function, and the removable magazine, equipped with a lock, has a capacity of 5 rounds. Accessories can be mounted on the Picatinny rail.

The Barrel
The barrel in the short version is 47 cm long and is a cold-forged Suhl precision barrel with a profile of 19 mm. It has an M15x1 muzzle thread with thread protection. The open i-Sight sighting system is removable.

Die Jaeger NXT von Haenel ist in der Short-Version eine robuste und führige Geradezugrepetierbüchse, die vielseitig einsetzbar ist, ihre besondere Stärke aber bei der Drückjagd zeigt. In dieser Ausführung ist sie für die Kaliber .308Win und 8x57JS erhältlich.

Der Schäftung
Der Composite-Schaft der Büchse ist auf vielfältige Art individuell anpassbar. Per Knopfdruck ist der Schaftrücken stufenlos höhenverstellbar, die Länge des Schafts können Sie ohne Werkzeug mittels verschiedener Wechselkappen Ihren persönlichen ergonomischen Bedürfnissen anpassen und um 7 mm verkürzen oder um 5 mm verlängern. An den Griffflächen befinden sich Softtouch-Einlagen, die haptisch angenehm in den Händen liegen. Der Vorderschaft hat für eine optimale Auflage eine Trapezform.

Das System
Das System ist aus robustem Dur-Aluminium gefertigt. Die Jaeger NXT verfügt über einen Torsionsverschluss, der den Zylinder automatisch in der Hülse verdreht. Der Kickdown-Kammergriff ist zugleich der Handspanner, er dreht und verriegelt den Verschluss über ein Kegelgetriebe im Lauf, während er den Zylinder bewegt. Im vorderen Drittel des Schwenkbereichs spannt der Kammergriff und macht die Büchse bereit zum Schuss. Der Kammersperrhebel ist in drei Positionen zum Entladen, Feuern und Sichern einstellbar. Der Direktabzug hat eine Triggerstop-Funktion und das herausnehmbare, mit einer Sperre versehene Magazin eine Kapazität von 5 Schuss. Die Montage von Zubehör kann auf der Picatinny-Schiene erfolgen.

Der Lauf
Bei dem in der Short-Version 47 cm langen Lauf handelt es sich um einen kalt geschmiedeten Suhler Präzisionslauf mit einem Profil von 19 mm. Er hat ein M15x1-Mündungsgewinde mit Gewindeschutz. Das offene i-Sight-Visierungssystem ist abnehmbar.
