The Beretta 688 Black Trap AS shotgun combines intuitive handling with ballistic performance and reliability.
The 688 Black Trap AS from Beretta is a modern over-and-under shotgun designed for competition, but it also demonstrates its strengths in hunting small game. The stock has an optimized ergonomic shape, the action is wide and heavy to improve stability, and the barrels are hard chrome-plated on the inside.
The Stock
The stock, with its steep grip angle, is made of black-gray laminated wood and features an adjustable comb – the proven B-Fast system from Beretta. The shape of the grip ensures optimal handling. The MicroCore recoil pad excellently compensates for recoil. The 688 Black Trap AS is prepared for the optionally available stock balancer.
The System
The action, based on the 680 model, is constructed heavier to provide better stability when shooting, a balanced weight distribution – the balance point is at the hinge pins – and a minimization of recoil. The newly designed release lever is easier to operate than in previous models. The trigger can also be adjusted in 3 positions according to the individual needs of the shooter.
The Barrels
The Beretta 688 Black Trap AS is equipped with the proven Steelium barrels. These are connected using the monoblock method, hard-soldered, and hard chrome-plated on the inside. They have a chamber length of 70 mm and a 10 mm rib. Die 688 Black Trap AS von Beretta ist eine moderne, für den Wettkampf konzipierte Bockdoppelflinte, die aber auch bei der Jagd auf Niederwild ihre Stärken demonstriert. Der Schaft hat eine optimierte ergonomische Form, die Basküle ist zur Verbesserung der Stabilität breit und schwer und die Läufe sind innen hartverchromt.
Der Schaft
Der Schaft mit dem steilen Griffwinkel ist aus schwarz-grauem Schichtholz und hat einen verstellbaren Rücken – das bewährte B-Fast-System von Beretta. Die Handballenausformung gewährleistet eine optimale Handhabung. Die MicroCore-Schaftkappe kompensiert ausgezeichnet den Rückstoß. Die 688 Black Trap AS ist vorbereitet für den optional erhältlichen Schaft Balancer.
Das System
Die auf der 680er-Ausführung basierende schwerer konstruierte Basküle sorgt für eine bessere Stabilität beim Schießen, eine ausgewogene Gewichtsverteilung – der Balancepunkt liegt an den Schanierwellen – und eine Minimierung des Rückstoßes. Der neu gestaltete Verschlusshebel lässt sich leichter als bei früheren Modellen betätigen. Auch der Abzug ist je nach den individuellen Bedürfnissen der Schützin und des Schützen in 3 Positionen längsverstellbar.
Die Läufe
Die Beretta 688 Black Trap AS ist mit den bewährten Steelium-Läufen bestückt. Diese sind im Monoblock-Verfahren verbunden, hartgelötet und innen hartverchromt. Sie haben ein Patronenlager von 70 mm Länge und eine 10-mm-Versierschiene. Die Läufe sind für das Kaliber 12/70 ausgelegt, haben eine Länge von 76 cm oder 81 cm und sind je mit einem 3/4- und einem 1/1-Choke versehen.
