The resulting gentle half-groove forms a perfect and comfortable resting place for the thumb when holding the knife for cutting. The traditional design is completely pocket-friendly and offers clear practical advantages. To deploy the tools, you always need two hands; the blades are not lockable. Instead, the classic supporting springs keep the knife open.

Das sechsteilige Böker Allzweck Sportmesser mit Hornbeschalung wird bereits seit 1869 in der Solinger Manufaktur von Hand gefertigt. Die langjährige Produktion spricht für sich. Und solange Böker in Solingen Messer fertigt, solange werden wir auch diesen Klassiker anbieten.
Selbst in geschlossenem Zustand erkennt man bereits drei typische Elemente des praktischen Modells: Die polierten Neusilber-Backen vorn und hinten, der Bügel zum Montieren eines Karabinerhakens für Ketten oder Riemen und die Verjüngung des Griffrückens vorn, also im Bereich der Hauptklingen-Angel. Die so entstehende sanfte Halbmulde bildet eine perfekte und angenehme Auflage für den Daumen, wenn man das Messer zum Schneiden in der Hand hält. Das traditionelle Design ist vollkommen westentaschentauglich und bietet klare praktische Vorteile. Für das Ausfahren der Instrumente braucht man immer zwei Hände, die Klingen sind nicht feststellbar. Stattdessen halten die klassischen Stützfedern das Messer geöffnet.
Die Ausgestattet des Hirschhorn Sportmessers sind zwei Klingen, einem Dosen- und Flaschenöffner, einer Stech- und Reibahle sowie einem Korkenzieher und einem Schlitzschraubendreher. Beide Klingen werden aus 4034er Stahl gefertigt, dem klassischen Solinger Klingenstahl, der Korrosionsresistenz, Schnitthaltigkeit und leichte Nachschärfbarkeit miteinander verbindet. Neusilber-Backen und strapazierfähige Schalen aus echtem Hirschhorn geben dem Multi Taschenmesser das gewisse Etwas.
