The K5 Extreme model differs from the other models with its simple black system featuring the K5 label and the already installed 51 cm short, fluted barrel. Framed by elegant walnut wood, with a slight pig back and Bavarian cheek piece with double fold.
The Lock
The heart of the Merkel K5 is the minimalist tipping block lock. True to Merkel's style, it locks steel on steel and is extremely short in design. It is titanium-nitrided and can be easily removed. This facilitates cleaning, and when traveling, the rifle can be stored particularly securely, separated from the lock.
Trigger and Manual Cocking
The titanium-nitrided direct trigger, with a widened blade, is adjustable for side and length, allowing it to be perfectly tailored to your shooting hand. It breaks extremely cleanly at a trigger weight of just 600 g.
The manual cocking mechanism offers maximum safety when handling the K5. It operates completely silently with minimal effort.
Mounting
To keep the sight line particularly low over the barrel, Merkel uses the Suhl tilt-mount (SAM) on the K5. This is particularly repeatable and extremely shot-proof.
Merkel I-Sight Sighting System and Barrel Thread M 15x1
The K5 break-action rifle comes standard with the I-Sight system, meaning the sight can not only be easily removed but also moved backward on the barrel, allowing any suppressor, whether on-barrel or over-barrel, to be mounted on the existing muzzle thread M 15x1.
Barrels
The wide caliber range of the Merkel K5 break-action rifle is offered in three barrel lengths. The standard calibers are available in barrel lengths of 51 cm and 56 cm. The 51 cm variant is always fluted. Magnum calibers are delivered in a barrel length of 60 cm.
The K5 break-action rifle, with a total weight of approximately 2.3 kg and a minimum overall length of 97 cm, is a particularly dynamic rifle. The handling is unmatched and will delight you not only during stalking. Available optionally in left or right configuration.

Der Verschluss
Das Herzstück der Merkel K5 ist der minimalistische Kippblockverschluss. Merkel-typisch verriegelt er Stahl auf Stahl und ist extrem kurz gebaut. Er ist titannitriert und lässt sich einfach entnehmen. Das erleichtert die Reinigung und auf Reisen lässt sich die Büchse besonders sicher, getrennt vom Verschluss, lagern.
Abzug und Handspanner
Der titannitrierte Direktabzug, mit verbreitertem Züngel, ist seiten- und längenverstellbar und lässt sich dadurch perfekt auf ihre Schießhand einstellen. Er bricht äußerst trocken bei einem Abzugsgewicht von gerade einmal 600 g.
Der Handspanner bietet größtmögliche Sicherheit bei der Handhabung der K5.Völlig geräuschlos arbeitet er mit wenig Kraftaufwand.
Montage
Um die Visierlinie besonders niedrig über dem Lauf zu halten verwendet Merkel bei der K5 die Suhler Aufkipp-Montage (SAM). Diese ist besonders Wiederholgenau und äußerst schussfest.
Merkel I-Sight-Visierung und Laufgewinde M 15x1
Die Kipplaufbüchse K5 ist serienmäßig mit dem I-Sight-System ausgerüstet, d. h. die Visierung ist nicht nur einfach abnehmbar, sondern auch nach hinten auf dem Lauf versetzbar, so dass jeder Schalldämpfer, ob On- und Overbarrel, auf das vorhandene Mündungsgewinde M 15x1 montiert werden kann.
Läufe
Die breite Kaliberpalette der Kipplaufbüchse K5 von Merkel wird in drei Lauflängen angeboten. Dabei sind die Standardkaliber in den Lauflängen 51 cm und 56 cm zu erhalten. Die 51 cm Variante ist stets kanneliert. Magnumkaliber werden in der Lauflänge 60 cm ausgeliefert.
Die Kipplaufbüchse K5 ist bei einem Gesamtgewicht von ca. 2,3 kg und einer Gesamtlänge von mind. 97 cm ein besonders dynamisches Gewehr. Die Führigkeit ist unübertroffen und wird Sie nicht nur bei der Pirsch erfreuen. Optional in Links- oder Rechtsausführung.
