Backcountry" is the brand new backpack line from Exped in their typical straightforward and tidy look: absolutely weatherproof, but also surprisingly light. What makes the Backcountry packs special, besides the almost waterproof design, is the large front access to the main compartment: 2 vertically positioned and long AquaGuard zippers from YKK allow the front to open (easiest packing/unpacking), and on the go, access to the main compartment is possible at any time from both sides via these zippers. The long zippers – in addition to being water-repellent – are completely covered by the side compression system. The aluminum frame is centrally placed on a flexible Crosslink PE plate and pre-bent. It has enough flex for freedom of movement in the upper body area, but is stiff enough along the longitudinal axis to adequately support loads. (Show description in original language)

»Backcountry« ist die brandneue Rucksacklinie von Exped in deren typischer schnörkelloser und aufgeräumter Optik: absolut wetterfest, aber auch erstaunlich leicht. Speziell macht die Backcountry Packs neben der nahezu wasserdichten Ausführung der große Frontzugriff aufs Hauptfach: 2 vertikal positionierte und lange AquaGuard-Reißverschlüsse von YKK lassen einerseits die Front öffnen (einfachstes Packen/Entladen), andererseits ist unterwegs jederzeit beidseitig der Zugriff zum Hauptfach über diese Reißverschlüsse möglich. Die langen Reißverschlüsse – nebst wasserabweisender Ausführung – sind durch das seitliche Kompressionsystem vollständig abgedeckt. Das Alugestell ist zentral auf einer flexiblen Crosslink PE-Platte plaziert und vorgebogen.
