The new SAVAGE ARMS MSR 15 RECON .223 Rem is a significant step forward compared to the many M4 clones available on the market.
With its improved barrel featuring 5R rifling and a 1:8" twist rate, the MSR 15 Recon semi-automatic rifle offers more precision and flight stability than conventional AR-15 rifles. The barrel is made of carbon steel and coated with a hard, corrosion-resistant Melonite QPQ surface finish. This makes it extremely durable, robust, and resistant to weather influences. The MSR 15 models are characterized by individual gas systems that ensure reliability and reduced recoil. An improved lightweight trigger according to MIL-SPEC guidelines additionally provides optimal accuracy. The trigger system used is a Mil-Spec trigger that has been treated with nickel-boron for a better pull, polished, and hardened. This makes it much smoother than other average MIL-SPEC triggers. The high-quality free-floating M-Lok handguard with a continuous Picatinny rail, the adjustable Magpul stock, a Magpul pistol grip, and the mechanical Magpul MBUS flip-up sights as standard equipment further distinguish the SAVAGE ARMS MSR 15 RECON .223 Rem from other semi-automatics and enhance its value. The difference from the PATROL is the significantly longer free-floating M-LOK handguard with a continuous Picatinny rail. Additionally, the SAVAGE ARMS MSR 15 RECON .223 Rem is slightly longer and thus somewhat heavier. The weight is approximately 3,175 grams.

Das neue SAVAGE ARMS MSR 15 RECON .223 Rem ist ein großer Schritt nach vorn im Vergleich zu den vielen auf dem Markt erhältlichen M4-Klonen.
Mit ihrem verbesserten Lauf mit 5R Rifling und 1:8" Drall bietet die MSR 15 Recon Selbstladebüchse mehr Präzision und Flugstabilität als herkömmliche AR-15-Gewehre. Der Lauf ist aus Carbonstahl und mit einer harten, korrosionbeständigen Melonite QPQ Oberflächenbeschichtung versehen. So ist er extrem halbar, robust und widerstandsfähig gegen Witterungseinflüsse. Die MSR 15 Modelle zeichnen sich durch individuelle Gassysteme aus, die für Zuverlässigkeit und reduzierten Rückstoß sorgen. Ein verbesserter leichter Abzug nach MIL-SPEC-Richtlinie sorgt zusätzlich für optimale Genauigkeit. Das verwendete Abzugssystem ist ein Mil-Spec-Trigger, der für einen besseren Abzug zusätzlich mit Nickel-Bor behandelt, poliert und gehärtet wurde. So ist er viel glatter als andere durchschnittliche MIL-SPEC-Trigger. Der hochwertige, freischwingende M-Lok Handschutz mit durchgehender Picatinny-Schiene, die verstellbare Magpul Schulterstütze, ein Magpul Pistolengriff und die mechanische Magpul MBUS Flip-Up Visierung als Standardausrüstung unterscheiden die SAVAGE ARMS MSR 15 RECON .223 Rem zusätzlich von anderen Halbautomaten und werten sie zusätzlich auf. Der Unterschied zur PATROL ist der wesentlich längere freischwingende M-LOK Handschutz mit durchgehender Picatinny-Schiene. Außerdem ist die SAVAGE ARMS MSR 15 RECON .223 Rem etwas länger und somit etwas schwerer. Das Gewicht liegt bei ca. 3.175 Gramm.
