Saved searches - automatically get new listings and price drops
With a saved search, you save a search, and we keep looking for you: every hour we check if there are new listings or price drops for your search, and notify you by email or push. This way you’re early on sought-after items without having to check daily yourself.
Create saved search
Search as usual and set the filters that matter to you: category, condition, caliber, price, radius. Below the results, you’ll find the box Save this search. One click is enough, all set filters will be saved. Without an account, we’ll ask you to log in or register first.
You can find all saved searches in your profile under Saved searches. There you can activate or deactivate individual searches, delete them, and see the latest matches.
What you get
- New listings added since your last check, whether from dealers, classifieds or auctions.
- Price drops on listings your saved search already knows. We notify you of drops from five percent.
All your saved searches are combined in one email, with image, price and seller of the top results. In the email, you can go directly to the listing, all results or the live search.
How often we contact you
On the saved searches page, you set how often you want to be notified:
- Immediately: after every hourly check, as soon as there’s something. The right choice if you’re looking for a specific item and want to be quick.
- Once a day: a summary in the morning.
- Once a week: for searches that aren’t urgent.
This setting applies to all your saved searches. We only write if there’s really something new.
Push in the Gunfinder App
With the Gunfinder App you get new hits additionally as a push notification on your phone, in the same rhythm as the email. A tap on the notification opens the hits directly.
Pause and change, even without login
Every email has links that let you pause a saved search or change the frequency without logging in. A paused saved search stays saved and can be reactivated anytime. The unsubscribe button in your email program also works: it pauses all your saved searches.
Tips for good saved searches
- Better precise than broad. "Zeiss" matches thousands of listings, "Zeiss Victory V8 2.8-20x56" only those you really mean. For very broad searches, we’ll warn you when saving.
- Use filters. Condition, caliber, price range and radius make results more relevant without tweaking the search term.
- Multiple saved searches instead of one general one. You’ll get them all in one email anyway.
- If nothing comes up: Shorten the search term or remove a filter. A saved search with no results will show you a note after two weeks.
After a long time without activity
If you haven’t been with us for over a year and haven’t opened any listings during that time, we pause your saved searches and send you one email. One click in it reactivates them. This way, no emails end up in inboxes that no one reads anymore.
