Creating a Data Export with Shopware 6 for Gunfinder

Here you'll learn how to easily create a product data export for Gunfinder using Shopware 6. At the end of the process, you'll get a URL (a link) that you can send us by email. We'll then make sure your products can be found on Gunfinder.

Creating a product export with Shopware 6 is very quick and usually only takes a few minutes. Below, we'll guide you through the process step by step.

First, please open the administration panel of your Shopware 6 store.

Dynamic Product Group

On the left side of the main menu, you'll see the menu item Catalogue. Hover over it and click on Dynamic Product Groups in the submenu.

In the overview that follows, please select Create product group in the top right.

In the form that follows, you can now select which of your products should be transferred to Gunfinder. First, please give the product group a name. Something like "Products for Gunfinder" works well.
In the Conditions section, you can then choose in detail which products Gunfinder should receive. You must select at least one condition. It's best to select all products that are currently active in your store.

Then please click Save in the top right.

Create Sales Channel

Next, create a new sales channel. To do this, click the small plus icon to the right of Sales Channels in the left main menu.

A selection will then appear — please choose Product Comparison by clicking Create sales channel to the right of it.

General Settings

Please select Google Shopping under Template. In the Name field, you can enter e.g. "Gunfinder".

Payment and Shipping

These settings are not relevant for Gunfinder. You can simply select e.g. the 1st option "Row by row" here.

Storefront Sales Channel

Here, please select your store that contains all products as the Storefront Sales Channel. This is usually simply called Online Store.
As the Storefront Domain, you can choose your store's domain. Please make sure that https:// appears before the domain name — for example https://www.your-gun-shop.com
All further settings should be self-explanatory from here.

Product Export

Here you can simply keep the pre-filled settings and don't need to change anything.
The only exception is the last field, Dynamic Product Group, where you select the product group you just created.

Status

To enable the data export, please check the Active checkbox here.

In the next step, please click Save in the top right.
After saving successfully, you can scroll down a little until you reach the API Access section. Please copy the URL found in the Export URL field and send it to us by email.
