The history of VB Swordshop and the webshop
Over twenty years ago, I came into close contact with the world of historical representation through my activities as a reenactor – in the Salamon History Club and in the Sankt-Georg-Ritterorden. During this time, I met many performers, collectors, and craftsmen and gained insights into the needs of the customer side.
Alongside these representations, I began forging – initially as a sole proprietor, later with two employees.
Without my wife Andrea, none of this would have been possible. She took over management, order processing, and customer communication so that I could fully concentrate on forging. We participated in medieval markets across Europe, where we showcased our products.
The number of orders steadily increased – not only from private individuals but also from the Hungarian Armed Forces. Over time, the workshop team also grew. At Andrea's suggestion, we changed the company form – thus the VB Swordshop Kft. was created, and she also developed our webshop.
Our company motto is: “Tradition, Quality, Guarantee”,– it sums up our values perfectly.

Die Geschichte von VB Swordshop und dem Webshop
Vor über zwanzig Jahren kam ich durch meine Tätigkeit als Reenactor – im Salamon-Geschichtsclub und im Sankt-Georg-Ritterorden – in engen Kontakt mit der Welt der historischen Darstellung. In dieser Zeit lernte ich viele Darsteller, Sammler und Handwerker kennen und gewann Einblicke in die Bedürfnisse der Kundenseite.
Parallel zu diesen Darstellungen begann ich mit dem Schmieden – zunächst als Einzelunternehmer, später mit zwei Mitarbeitern.
Ohne meine Frau Andrea wäre all dies nicht möglich gewesen. Sie übernahm die Verwaltung, die Auftragsbearbeitung und die Kundenkommunikation sodass ich mich ganz auf das Schmieden konzentrieren konnte. Wir nahmen an Mittelaltermärkten in ganz Europa teil, auf denen wir unsere Produkte präsentierten.
Die Zahl der Aufträge stieg kontinuierlich – nicht nur von Privatpersonen, sondern auch von den Ungarischen Streitkräften. Mit der Zeit wuchs auch das Werkstattteam. Auf Andreas Vorschlag hin wechselten wir die Unternehmensform – so entstand die VB Swordshop Kft., und sie entwickelte auch unseren Webshop.
