At the heart is a VOx thermal sensor with 640 × 512 pixels and a NETD ≤ 15 mK. Fine temperature differences are displayed clearly, even in humid weather or low contrast. The 50 mm lens allows a detection range of up to 2,600 m and ensures early wildlife identification at long distances.
Display and Image Stability
The integrated OLED display with 1920 × 1080 pixels shows a stable, high-contrast image. The AI-supported image calibration significantly reduces calibration interruptions and keeps the image stable even during longer observations.
Distance Measurement and Ballistics
The fully integrated laser rangefinder reliably measures up to 1,000 m. In conjunction with ballistic calculation, the device supports precise point-of-aim determination – a clear advantage for long shots.
Operation and Practical Use
A three-position toggle switch for On, Off, and Standby allows for safe operation, even with gloves. The pre-zeroing system noticeably shortens the initial setup and facilitates precise zeroing.
Weighing around 460 g, the Hunt 650L remains pleasantly lightweight. The magnesium housing is recoil-resistant up to 6,000 J and protected against dust and water according to IP67. Replaceable batteries provide flexibility in the field.
