They are called "deluxe" because they feature an ergonomically shaped handle that sits on two ball bearings, allowing the cleaning rod to glide easily through the barrel. They are made from carbon fiber reinforced plastic to avoid damaging the barrels. Carbon fiber reinforced plastic is ideally suited for the demanding tasks of barrel cleaning. It combines the best properties of stainless steel and coated rods while offering additional valuable features. Stainless steel rods can scratch the barrel if used improperly.
