Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy AOS 4.25" Black Comp
The Springfield 1911 DS Prodigy with Agency Optic System (AOS) is a high-quality pistol based on the proven Colt 1911. Equipped with a double-stack magazine and an optics interface! The grip is made of polymer and is connected to a frame made of forged steel. This makes the weapon relatively light but stable, and thanks to the well-designed magazine, the grip remains slim. A single-stage trigger and a palm safety are present. Modern improvements of the Prodigy include the ambidextrous thumb safety, the extended beavertail, the skeletonized hammer, and the Picatinny rail on the grip. Additionally, the weapon features a bull barrel, eliminating the need for a barrel bushing to guide the barrel in the forged slide. All steel parts are Cerakote coated.
The Agency Optic System (AOC) is a newly developed optics interface that comes standard with a cover plate featuring a notch sight. A rigid U-notch is installed. However, a mounting plate with a rigid notch is included, onto which a sight with a Docter/Noblex footprint can be mounted. The plates with the notch are machined from solid steel and provide the shooter with the option to operate the weapon with optics while still utilizing the open sights, as these are higher than standard sights and thus high enough for co-witnessing. Plates for other footprints are available as options.

Die Springfield 1911 DS Prodigy mit Agency Optic System (AOS) ist eine hochwertige Pistole auf Basis der bewährten Colt 1911. Ausgestattet mit einem doppelreihigen Magazin und einer Optikschnittstelle !
Das Griffstück besteht aus Polymer und ist mit einem Rahmen aus geschmiedetem Stahl verbunden. Dadurch ist die Waffe relativ leicht, aber stabil und dank des hervorragend entwickelten Magazins bleibt das Griffstück schlank.
Single Stage Abzug und eine Handballensicherung ist vorhanden. Moderne Verbesserungen der Prodigy sind die beidseitig bedienbare Daumensicherung, der verlängerte Beavertail, der skelettierte Hammer und die Picatinnyschiene am Griffstück. Zudem verfügt die Waffe über einen Bull Barrel, wodurch kein Barrel Bushing notwendig ist, um den Lauf im geschmiedeten Schlitten zu führen. Alle Stahlteile sind Cerakote beschichtet.
Das Agency Optic System (AOC) ist eine neu entwickelte Optikschnittstelle, welche als Standard eine Deckplatte mit Kimmenaufnahme aufweist, eine starre U-Kimme ist verbaut. Beiliegend ist aber eine Montageplatte mit starrer Kimme auf welche ein Visier mit Docter/Noblex footprint verbaut werden kann. Die Platten mit Kimme sind aus vollem Stahl gefräst und bieten dem Schützen die Möglichkeit die Waffe mit Optiken zu betreiben aber weiterhin die offene Visierung zu nutzen, denn diese ist höher als eine Standardvisierung und damit hoch genug für Co-Witnessing. Platten für andere footprints sind optional erhältlich.
